Experienced Risk Analyst required to fill the permanent position NBK/Risk/09/2026. This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks to safeguard organizational assets. Position Scope:

The position requires the incumbent to develop and enforce controls that guarantee alignment with established compliance frameworks and internal policies, thereby reducing the risk of financial and operational losses associated with non-compliance.

Oversee and execute core duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to drive organizational success. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to optimize productivity and ensure adherence to industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives, resolve challenges, and foster a culture of innovation and accountability. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making. Formulate and oversee the Bank’s regulatory compliance strategy, ensuring alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Evaluate the latest regulatory proposals to assess their potential effects on company operations.

Monitor and keep abreast of evolving legal and regulatory developments that may influence the Bank’s operational or strategic initiatives, promptly notifying relevant business areas of any pertinent changes.

To ensure alignment with evolving industry standards and regulatory requirements—both locally and internationally—the incumbent will continuously monitor trends, assess their implications, and propose as well as execute necessary adjustments to internal company processes to maintain operational efficiency and compliance.

Conduct thorough assessments of regulatory submissions to ensure they meet all applicable standards and are submitted within established deadlines.

Perform comprehensive environmental scanning and deliver strategic guidance derived from intelligence-driven analytical assessments.

Conduct assessments to identify both existing and evolving compliance risks and potential opportunities, ensuring proactive management of regulatory challenges while capitalizing on advantageous developments.

Conduct comprehensive intelligence assessments focused on regulatory issues to develop robust problem-solving strategies, policies, and programs.

Coordinate the organization-wide regulatory monitoring process by utilizing the Rule-Book framework.

Maintain and enhance the Bank’s corporate governance code and compliance framework to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and best practices.

Periodically review and update the Standards of Conduct to ensure they remain current and relevant, providing continuous guidance to both management and employees.

Verify that corporate governance codes and standards are consistently met and upheld throughout all operations.

Analyze corporate governance frameworks and draft strategic recommendations to enhance policies and procedures within the Bank.

Design and facilitate various corporate governance training programs for the Bank’s staff to enhance their understanding and application of governance principles.

Deliver expert and responsive front-line compliance advisory services to the business entity, ensuring a consistent and standardized approach to all relevant matters.

Collaborate closely with the product compliance team to finalize the approval of new products, policies, and propositions.

Assists in developing the compliance training schedule incorporating results ofcompliance risk assessments.

Collaborate on New Product approvals in partnership with Compliance Advisory.

Formulate and spearhead the Bank’s Exception Management strategy to ensure robust oversight and alignment with organizational objectives.

Analyze and document systemic exceptions across the institution while tracking their resolution status to ensure timely closure and escalation when necessary.

Review regulatory exceptions to assess their suitability for regularization and closure processes.

Monitor and coordinate the bank-wide review of exception logs to ensure timely and regular resolution.
