Position Summary

PA SGR is currently looking for a Senior Communications Officer to spearhead corporate communications, public relations, digital engagement, and the visibility of the organization’s initiatives. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, this position will contribute to program implementation, knowledge management, and resource mobilization through the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives.

Oversee core operational duties, including the management of daily activities and ensuring adherence to established protocols. Lead and coordinate team efforts to achieve organizational goals, fostering collaboration and optimizing workflow efficiency. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity and maintain high performance standards. Monitor progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support professional growth. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Serve as a primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, facilitating clear communication and alignment with key stakeholders.

Direct responsibility for formulating and executing PA SGR’s Communications Strategy will be assumed by the successful candidate, who will oversee its development and ensure its full implementation.

Oversee the development and execution of corporate communications strategies, brand management initiatives, and public relations efforts to enhance organizational visibility and reputation.

Responsible for managing all aspects of the website, digital platforms, and social media channels, ensuring consistent branding, user engagement, and optimal performance across all online touchpoints.

Coordinate the development and production of publications, multimedia content, and documentation to ensure timely delivery and alignment with organizational standards.

Enhance media relations and cultivate meaningful stakeholder engagement to foster positive public perception and strategic partnerships.

Provide assistance with fundraising initiatives and programmed-related communication requirements to ensure effective outreach and engagement.

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, coupled with a minimum of five years of professional experience in a related discipline, is essential for this role. Proven expertise in project management, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration is required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Familiarity with industry-specific tools, software, or methodologies is highly desirable, as is a track record of delivering measurable results in previous positions.

A master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or an equivalent discipline is required.

Minimum 8 years of professional experience in a senior communications position is required.

Strong proficiency in writing, crafting compelling narratives, and producing multimedia content are essential for this role.

Proven expertise in leveraging digital platforms, fostering media engagement, and executing strategic communication initiatives.

Proficient fluency in English is essential, with strong written and verbal communication abilities required; French language proficiency is considered a beneficial asset.
