Position Summary
PA SGR is in search of a Senior Communications Officer to spearhead corporate communications, public relations, digital engagement, and strategic visibility enhancement of the organization’s initiatives. Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, the position will play a pivotal role in advancing program implementation, fostering knowledge management, and bolstering resource mobilization through targeted communication strategies.
Oversee a comprehensive range of critical tasks to ensure operational excellence, including the execution of strategic initiatives, meticulous project management, and the delivery of high-quality outcomes aligned with organizational objectives. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to foster innovation, streamline processes, and enhance productivity while maintaining strict adherence to deadlines and budgetary constraints. Provide leadership in decision-making processes, conduct thorough performance evaluations, and implement continuous improvement strategies to drive sustainable growth and operational efficiency. Additionally, ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, while proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks to safeguard organizational integrity.
Devise, oversee, and execute the comprehensive Communications Strategy for PA SGR, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder needs.
Oversee corporate communications, brand management, and public relations initiatives.
Responsibilities include managing and maintaining the organization’s website, digital platforms, and social media channels to ensure optimal functionality and user engagement.
Oversee the development and execution of publications, multimedia materials, and documentation to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
Enhance and expand relationships with media outlets and key stakeholders to foster mutual understanding and collaboration.
Assist in fulfilling fundraising objectives and enhancing communication strategies related to program initiatives.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is required, along with expertise in software design principles, algorithms, and data structures. Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this role.
A master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a closely related discipline is required.
Minimum requirement: eight years of demonstrated experience in a comparable senior-level communications position.
Proficient in crafting compelling narratives, developing engaging written content, and producing dynamic multimedia assets are essential competencies for this role.
Proven expertise in leveraging digital platforms, fostering media engagement, and implementing strategic communication initiatives is required.
Proficient fluency in English is essential, with a secondary advantage conferred by strong French language skills.
