The Audit Manager will oversee audit engagements from planning to execution, guaranteeing high-quality outcomes, adherence to auditing standards, and strong leadership of audit teams. Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Conduct end-to-end audit engagements, spanning from initial planning through final completion.

Identify and evaluate critical audit risks, implementing suitable audit procedures to address them effectively.

Examine and evaluate audit working papers, financial statements, and accompanying supporting documentation with meticulous attention to detail.

Supervise, guide, and foster the professional growth of junior audit staff, ensuring their development through structured training and constructive feedback.

Oversee project schedules and guarantee the punctual finalization of audit documentation.

Collaborate effectively with clients, finance teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and alignment.

Prepare and assess management letters, audit findings, and completion reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.

Guarantee adherence to all relevant auditing, accounting, and regulatory standards to maintain organizational integrity and legal conformity.

Enhance audit methodologies, tools, and internal quality controls to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key qualifications for this role include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or business administration, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in a similar position. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment are essential. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels. Familiarity with project management methodologies and prior involvement in cross-functional initiatives are highly desirable. Additionally, a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability to evolving technologies and business needs is required.

A minimum of five years of professional audit experience is required, preferably gained within a reputable audit or professional services firm.

Seasoned professionals with a proven track record of working at one of Kenya’s premier audit firms ranked within the top ten or an equivalent organization are strongly encouraged to apply.

Seasoned in overseeing audit engagements and meticulously examining audit documentation.

Possesses a comprehensive grasp of audit planning methodologies, risk assessment frameworks, and the procedures required for effective audit completion.

Proven expertise in compiling or auditing statutory financial statements is essential.

Proficient in auditing principles and accounting regulations, with a comprehensive understanding of established standards and best practices in both fields.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in a comparable role. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards is essential, as is proficiency in relevant software applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to navigate complex scenarios. Excellent communication abilities are also required to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and convey technical information clearly.

Qualifications such as CPA (Kenya), ARCA, IC AEW, CIA, or their equivalents are required for this role.
