A well-regarded, mid-sized law firm situated in Nairobi—renowned for its proficiency in commercial and real estate law—is currently seeking a skilled and driven Advocate to strengthen its growing legal team. The successful applicant will assist the firm in managing conveyancing transactions, commercial dealings, and providing expert legal counsel.

Oversee and execute all primary tasks and obligations associated with the position. Ensure adherence to established protocols and maintain high standards of performance in all assigned duties. Collaborate effectively with team members to foster a productive and cohesive work environment. Address and resolve operational challenges promptly to uphold efficiency and workflow continuity. Provide comprehensive oversight of conveyancing processes, ensuring seamless progression from initial stages through to final completion.

Prepare, review, and finalize property and conveyancing documents through drafting, careful examination, and strategic negotiation.

Draft contracts, conveyances, securities, and finalization documents for transactions.

Perform comprehensive legal due diligence assessments for property-related transactions.

Ensure smooth property registration procedures by upholding adherence to land laws and applicable regulations.

Coordinate with land registries, survey offices, and the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning to obtain necessary approvals and complete registrations efficiently.

Prepare, examine, and finalize commercial contracts and transactional agreements to ensure accuracy and legal compliance.

Deliver expert legal counsel and strategic guidance on commercial and real estate transactions.

Verify full compliance of all transactions with applicable statutory and regulatory standards.

Consistently cultivate and sustain professional connections with clients as well as key stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and mutual satisfaction.

Collaborate effectively with lenders, valuers, estate agents, and surveyors to facilitate seamless transaction completion.

Provide clients with prompt legal counsel and regular progress reports to ensure they remain informed and supported throughout their matters.

Handle all other duties as assigned by the firm.

We are seeking a candidate who meets the following professional qualifications and job standards. The ideal applicant will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of three years of direct experience in a similar role is required, along with proficiency in industry-standard software and tools. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential to excel in this position.
