Key Responsibilities include overseeing project execution to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams to align on objectives, and conducting regular performance evaluations to maintain productivity and quality standards. Additionally, the role involves developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, managing stakeholder communications to foster transparency and accountability, and analyzing data to identify trends and drive informed decision-making. The position requires adherence to company policies and compliance with industry regulations while mentoring junior staff to support professional growth and team development.

Direct and lead curriculum development workshops in collaboration with founders, advisors, faculty, and essential stakeholders.

Identify and create 2-3 concise courses for immediate launch, aimed at cultivating an initial audience, validating program hypotheses, and showcasing progress to collaborators and investors.

Develop a comprehensive curriculum framework and educational program structure at an advanced level for the institution.

Design curricula, establish module structures, and delineate learning pathways and outcomes to ensure a cohesive and progressive educational experience.

Facilitate the seamless integration of entrepreneurship, innovation, and professional practice throughout all academic and training programs to enhance student engagement and skill development.

Provide expert guidance on educational methodologies, studio-centered learning frameworks, and the strategic design of student experiences.

Transform workshop outcomes into concise curriculum documentation and detailed implementation roadmaps.

Work closely with operations and leadership teams to plan, coordinate, document, and execute workshops efficiently.

Offer strategic guidance on optimizing academic frameworks, refining assessment methodologies, and fostering interdisciplinary educational connections.

To inform curriculum development, analyze and adapt pertinent global and African creative education models for benchmarking purposes.

Develop and present high-quality deliverables to meet project milestones and stakeholder expectations. Ensure all outputs adhere to established standards, guidelines, and deadlines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary inputs, refine deliverables, and validate final versions. Monitor progress regularly to address any deviations promptly and maintain alignment with overall project objectives.

Develop comprehensive curriculum roadmaps and provide strategic guidance on their implementation to ensure alignment with educational goals and standards.

The finalized comprehensive report on curriculum development consolidates key findings and recommendations, ensuring alignment with educational objectives and institutional standards. This document synthesizes input from stakeholders, analyzes current programs, and proposes enhancements to optimize learning outcomes. It serves as a strategic roadmap for future curriculum revisions and policy decisions.

Ideal candidates will possess a robust academic background in a relevant field, complemented by at least three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. They should demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, alongside strong communication skills to articulate complex ideas effectively. Familiarity with industry-specific tools and technologies is essential, as is the capacity to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment. Proven leadership qualities and a commitment to continuous professional development are highly valued.

A robust academic foundation and/or extensive professional experience in education, curriculum design, learning strategy, or innovative educational approaches are essential.

With a solid track record in designing curricula, academic programs, or comprehensive learning frameworks, the ideal candidate will bring extensive experience to the role.

Experienced in leading interactive workshops, co-creation sessions, and collaborative learning activities to drive engagement and innovation.

Proficiency in creative education methodologies, studio-based learning approaches, interdisciplinary programs, or alternative education models is advantageous.

Proven ability to effectively engage stakeholders, communicate clearly, and organize tasks efficiently.

Proficiency in the arts, culture, fashion, design, or creative sectors is strongly preferred.

A strong familiarity with African creative ecosystems and cultural contexts is highly desirable.

Demonstrates strong collaboration skills in dynamic and rapidly changing settings.

Duration:

The consultancy is anticipated to span a duration of 12 to 16 weeks, divided into two distinct phases. A mid-engagement review will be conducted between these phases to evaluate progress, ensure alignment with objectives, and determine whether to proceed with the next phase.

Reporting Line: The position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and serves as a crucial member of the senior leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing key operational and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization’s long-term objectives. Collaboration with other executive leaders is essential to drive performance, implement high-impact decisions, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence throughout the organization.

The consultant will collaborate closely with the Arts Education Initiative team and will report directly to the designated Operations Lead at Pharos Foundation.
