Oversee and execute a wide range of duties to ensure operational efficiency, including managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and monitoring progress toward key milestones. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and drive measurable results in alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate across departments to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline processes, and foster a culture of innovation. Maintain clear communication channels to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout each phase of development and execution. Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices while upholding the highest standards of quality and accountability.

Assist in maintaining a structured and accessible repository of WCR project documentation to facilitate efficient referencing and knowledge dissemination.

Review the WUF13 reports and proceedings to extract and consolidate the essential discussions, with a focus on the prominent themes and arguments presented in the WCR 2026.

Assist in coordinating both internal and external post-launch events, preparing essential background materials, and producing detailed reports.

Ensure the accuracy and consistency of all information and referenced sources in WCR post-launch reports through thorough cross-verification.

Conduct in-depth desktop research to analyze and measure the impact of WCR2026.

Assist in performing comprehensive literature reviews, gathering essential data, and conducting both qualitative and quantitative analyses to support the conceptual development of WCR2028.

Offer adaptable and on-demand assistance as directed and assigned by the supervisor.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues to carry out additional tasks essential for advancing the section’s work program.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in software development, systems administration, or a comparable technical role. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, alongside strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail. Familiarity with database management, cloud computing platforms, and cybersecurity principles is highly desirable. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Candidates must satisfy one of the following prerequisites at the time of submission.

Currently enrolled in a graduate-level academic program, such as a master’s degree, postgraduate qualification, or an equivalent advanced degree, is required.

Enrolled in the concluding year of an undergraduate or graduate university program (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent), or possessing a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent qualification.

Proficient in utilizing standard software applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite, is a required skill.

You have shown a strong dedication to the work of the United Nations and a sincere commitment to the principles outlined in its Charter.

Proven capability in fostering constructive engagement with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and belief systems, characterized by an openness to comprehend and respect varied perspectives and opinions.

Applicants should possess an educational background in Urban Studies, Urban Planning, Geography, Economics, Development Studies, or a closely related field. Proficiency in research methods, data collection and analysis, as well as experience with project management tools, is highly advantageous. Notably, candidates applying for the UN Internship Program are not required to have prior professional work experience.

A relevant academic discipline closely aligned with the internship is mandatory. Candidates must either be enrolled in their final year of an undergraduate (bachelor’s or equivalent), master’s, or doctoral program—or have successfully completed one of these degrees.
