Oversee and execute critical operational tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices. Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and performance across assigned departments or functions. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance measures while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Prepare and present comprehensive reports, data analyses, and performance metrics to senior leadership for informed decision-making. Lead and mentor teams to cultivate talent, optimize skill sets, and achieve collective and individual goals. Manage budgets, resources, and project timelines effectively to deliver measurable results within established constraints.

Lead and oversee curriculum development workshops in collaboration with founders, advisors, faculty, and essential stakeholders to ensure effective facilitation.

Devise and refine 2-3 concise courses for imminent release, with the aim of cultivating an early audience, validating core program assumptions, and showcasing momentum to collaborators and investors.

Develop a comprehensive curriculum framework and program architecture for the school at a strategic level.

Develop structured learning pathways, design program sequences, outline modules, and establish clear learning outcomes.

Facilitate the seamless incorporation of entrepreneurship, innovation, and practical professional skills throughout all academic programs.

Provide guidance on instructional methodologies, studio-based educational frameworks, and the design of student experiences.

Transform workshop results into well-structured curriculum materials and detailed action plans for implementation.

Work in close partnership with the operations and leadership teams to plan, coordinate, document, and deliver workshops effectively.

Offer strategic guidance on the development of academic frameworks, evaluation methodologies, and the seamless incorporation of interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

Analyze and evaluate leading creative education frameworks from around the world and across Africa to guide and enhance curriculum design efforts.

We propose an innovative pedagogical framework coupled with a robust assessment strategy designed to enhance learning outcomes and measure student progress effectively. This approach integrates diverse instructional methods to cater to varied learning styles, ensuring inclusivity and engagement. Regular formative and summative assessments will be employed to provide continuous feedback, identify learning gaps, and inform instructional adjustments, thereby fostering a dynamic and responsive educational environment.

Developing and implementing a structured curriculum roadmap, along with actionable recommendations, is a key responsibility of this role. This involves outlining strategic pathways for curriculum development and ensuring alignment with institutional goals and educational standards. Recommendations should be practical, evidence-based, and designed to enhance learning outcomes while addressing evolving academic needs.

The report consolidates the final curriculum development findings, summarizing key outcomes, progress, and recommendations into a unified document for stakeholders. It includes comprehensive analysis of curriculum design, implementation challenges, and alignment with educational objectives. Additionally, the report outlines future curriculum enhancement strategies and stakeholder feedback integration, ensuring a cohesive and actionable roadmap for continuous improvement.

The preferred candidate will possess strong qualifications and experience aligned with the role’s demands. This individual should meet all specified requirements and demonstrate the ability to fulfill the outlined responsibilities effectively. A proven track record of success in relevant areas, along with the necessary skills and expertise, will be essential for achieving optimal performance in this position.

A robust academic foundation and/or extensive professional experience in education, curriculum design, learning innovation, or creative instructional strategies is required.

Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing curricula, academic programs, or comprehensive learning frameworks is required.

Proven track record in leading interactive workshops, co-creation sessions, or group learning experiences.

Proficiency in creative education methodologies, studio-based learning approaches, interdisciplinary academic programs, or innovative educational frameworks is required.

Proven ability to engage stakeholders effectively, communicate with clarity, and maintain strong organizational capabilities.

Proficiency in the arts, culture, fashion, design, or other creative sectors is strongly preferred.

Proficiency in African creative ecosystems and cultural contexts is highly desirable.

Proven capability to thrive in dynamic, high-paced environments through effective collaboration with diverse teams.

Duration:

The consultancy engagement is anticipated to span a duration of 12 to 16 weeks, divided into two distinct phases. A formal review checkpoint will be conducted between these phases to evaluate progress, ensure strategic alignment, and determine the continuation of the project.

Reporting Line: The position reports directly to the [Job Title], ensuring clear communication and alignment with senior leadership regarding project progress, challenges, and strategic objectives. This role serves as a key liaison between the team and executive management, facilitating informed decision-making and maintaining accountability for deliverables, performance metrics, and overall operational efficiency.

The consultant will collaborate extensively with the Arts Education Initiative team and will report directly to the designated Operations Lead at Pharos Foundation.
