Deliver technical assistance to MA program personnel across designated thematic domains—Alternative Care, Family Strengthening, and community empowerment—while maintaining adherence to organizational protocols and directives.

Support in facilitating trainings and workshops designed to enhance the capacity of MA program staff on program quality standards and pertinent thematic domains.

The role involves assisting with the execution and oversight of organizational and international quality standards across member associations (MA’s), while ensuring any gaps or risks are identified and reported promptly to the Supervisor.

Offer technical expertise to MA program teams throughout project design and planning phases, encompassing the crafting of humanitarian and development proposals, while conducting quality assurance checks in collaboration with the Supervisor.

Collaborate with medical assistants to adapt federation quality requirements effectively within local contexts while maintaining strict adherence to established standards.

Prepare documentation that captures best practices, key lessons learned, and actionable insights for program enhancement, thereby promoting organizational learning and fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Provide assistance in establishing and executing MEAL tools and processes within the MA support department, as well as across all supported MA’s.

Facilitate peer learning programs, collaborative exchange activities, and educational sessions, while also ensuring the documentation and dissemination of best practices.

Develop or adapt tools, guidance materials, and templates, and facilitate their deployment within Member Associations.

Offer technical and operational assistance to Master of Arts (MA) program teams throughout periods of program modifications—including the implementation of innovative methodologies or the navigation of transitional phases—as directed.

Engage in external technical forums or networks as needed, facilitating knowledge sharing and continuous learning processes, while refraining from acting as an independent representative.

To ensure the maintenance of safeguarding protocols and foster a secure environment for all individuals involved.

As part of your role with or on behalf of SOS Children’s Villages, your responsibilities include contributing to the establishment and preservation of a secure and nurturing environment for both staff and the individuals we serve—children, young people, and adult program participants. Your duties encompass the following:

Adhere consistently to the Code of Conduct and continuously assess the safeguarding implications of your professional activities.

Engage collaboratively in team discussions to proactively identify risks and contribute insights on preventive and mitigation strategies and measures.

Incorporate safeguarding principles into all daily decisions and tasks.

Requirements

A Master’s degree in social sciences, Project Management, Psychology, Child Rights, Development Studies, or a related discipline is required.

Proficient in program cycle management and Results-Based Management (RBM), encompassing project design, execution, and evaluation.

We seek candidates with a minimum of five to eight years of proven professional experience in the field.

This role requires proven expertise in program quality assurance, program design and implementation, or related technical assistance positions within development, humanitarian, or social service agencies.

Candidates must demonstrate practical expertise in delivering technical program support within at least one specialized thematic field, including alternative care, family strengthening, child and youth development, or mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS).

Essential is a demonstrated track record of providing support to program teams alongside the implementation of organizational quality standards.

Applicants must have a proven track record of contributing to program design, planning, and quality review processes, coupled with a demonstrated commitment to capacity-building through active participation in trainings, workshops, or learning events.

Proficiency in collaborating within diverse, multicultural, and multi-stakeholder settings is essential.

Technical Skills (with proficiency levels and designation of essential or preferred requirements)

Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of program quality assurance methodologies and established organizational standards.

Demonstrated expertise in facilitating program planning, execution, and evaluation processes.

With at least two years of practical experience in coordinating and facilitating training sessions, workshops, and educational activities.

Proficiency in safeguarding protocols, accountability frameworks, and ethical programming practices is highly preferred.

Seeking candidates with a strong background in monitoring, evaluation, or learning processes, though this is not a strict requirement.

Proficiency in program reviews, assessments, or audits is considered advantageous for this role.
