Safely transport the truck to designated delivery locations and assume complete responsibility for the asset throughout the journey.
Thorough pre-departure inspections must be conducted to verify operational readiness and compliance with safety protocols before any journey commences. These evaluations encompass a comprehensive assessment of mechanical components, fluid levels, tire pressure, lighting systems, and emergency equipment to mitigate risks and ensure full adherence to regulatory standards. Attention to detail is essential to identify potential issues that could compromise vehicle performance or passenger safety during transit.
Service interval schedules are meticulously established to ensure equipment operates within optimal performance parameters by adhering to manufacturer-recommended maintenance cycles. These schedules delineate specific intervals—whether based on time elapsed, operational hours, or usage metrics—for conducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and necessary adjustments. Prior to any journey, ensure all required statutory licenses—including ERA and NASA—remain valid and current.
Insurance coverage, compliance inspections, brand compliance, and permits for inter-county operations are required to ensure regulatory adherence and operational efficiency.
Ensure prompt processing and monitoring of stock movements at designated locations, aligning with established key performance indicators for turnaround efficiency.
The operation of the asset/truck must comply strictly with the Kenya Traffic Act, specifically Chapter 404 of Kenya’s legislative framework.
Accidents and incidents must be reported promptly as they occur.
Any other duty as will be assigned by immediate supervisor.
