The Cluster Director of Revenue spearheads the Commercial Strategy team’s efforts to define and execute a strategic vision tailored to their home hotel. They establish clear objectives and deploy targeted initiatives to drive revenue growth across key customer segments and revenue centers, while reinforcing the hotel’s brand positioning and reputation. This role ensures data integrity and performs in-depth analysis, delivering actionable insights and proposing revenue and e-commerce strategies to the Commercial Strategy team, along with other corporate and ownership stakeholders. Additionally, the position ensures inventory allocation and pricing frameworks align with overarching revenue objectives, enabling all stakeholders to optimize profitability. The role also plays a pivotal part in identifying and developing talent within the home hotel’s revenue management team.
Serving as Cluster Director of Revenue, you provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and hands-on support to two properties, aligning their objectives with those of your home hotel through consistent communication and on-site engagement. In this capacity, you serve as the key intermediary between the Regional Director of Revenue Management, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, and Regional Vice President, ensuring seamless coordination across their respective hotels and markets.
Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, and managing a team of professionals to achieve organizational goals. Key duties involve strategic planning, budget preparation, and performance monitoring to drive efficiency and productivity. Additionally, the role requires fostering a collaborative work environment, resolving conflicts, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. The position demands exceptional leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Prior experience in a similar managerial capacity and proficiency in relevant software tools are essential requirements for this role.
Drives strategic planning initiatives and partners with all hotel teams responsible for revenue generation to proactively identify and capitalize on opportunities that enhance profitability across Rooms, Restaurants, Spas, and other key revenue channels.
A compelling Total Hotel Profit Optimization vision is communicated effectively to all pertinent property leaders, while simultaneously cultivating a robust Revenue Management culture across revenue-generating departments and instructing teams on core RM principles.
Utilizes Revenue Management analytics, advanced technologies, streamlined processes, specialized tools, and structured training programs to enhance hotel profitability.
Develops both short- and long-term projections to inform optimal pricing and revenue management strategies.
Engages actively in the annual budget planning cycle and generates long-term forecasts as needed.
Engages proactively in discussions and formal presentations related to ownership matters.
Tracks and analyzes key economic, market, and competitive landscape indicators to develop data-driven profit optimization strategies.
Chairs the weekly Revenue Management Meetings and ensures all materials are prepared in accordance with Brand guidelines.
Leverages comprehensive knowledge of all booking channels to optimize room revenue contribution, while effectively managing inventory and rates within those channels.
Develops and implements pricing, promotional, and availability strategies by establishing and overseeing all rates, tier levels, stay restrictions, and related tactics, ensuring alignment with demand factors to effectively target the most profitable customer segments and drive profit maximization.
Oversees the development and execution of all channel distribution strategies. Assesses emerging business prospects tied to booking channels.
Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to implement, assess, and enhance digital marketing initiatives, thereby advancing the hotel’s strategic marketing objectives while adhering to approved budgets.
Working collaboratively with the Marketing team, this role oversees performance reviews alongside OTA/CTO partners, maintaining current knowledge of each partner’s distribution capabilities and extranet updates to guarantee the hotel’s visibility remains at its best. The position also assesses proposed enhancements to the extranet system.
Drives incremental revenue growth by strategically leveraging upsell initiatives across all booking channels.
As the system owner for RMS, CRS (ORS and TARS), the Rate Shopping System, Travel CLICK products, and hotel-specific platforms, you will uphold data quality and system hygiene in accordance with Accor’s established standards, recommendations, and procedures. This role ensures the integrity and efficiency of critical systems integral to our operations.
The role involves managing content across all digital platforms, collaborating closely with the hotel’s Marketing team to guarantee timely updates of imagery and descriptions for the hotel, room categories, outlets, and available services.
Supervises collaboration with the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and Distribution Services teams to ensure alignment and efficient service delivery.
Builds and nurtures connections with nearby market competitors to monitor industry trends and emerging developments.
Motivate, guide, and develop team members to consistently deliver outstanding guest service while fostering a high level of employee satisfaction through effective leadership, coaching, and performance management.
Duties include providing revenue management support for properties lacking adequate coverage of revenue managers and/or insufficient expertise in system utilization and routine tasks.
Serves as an initial test site for new reports, tools, or systems before they are deployed across the entire field.
Reviews standard operating procedures related to revenue management to ensure compliance and proper implementation across all properties.
Provide first-level support for revenue management systems utilized by hotels within the designated area, overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly revenue-related tasks in accordance with the Accor revenue management task list.
Whenever strategic opportunities arise—such as adjustments in pricing, shifts in business mix, changes in allotment allocations, or any other factors with the potential to significantly influence a property’s financial performance—immediately recognize the necessity for additional evaluation by the RDRM.
Delivers monthly progress and findings reports to the RDRM regarding area hotels, while also disseminating newly discovered best practices.
Assists Area hotel GMs with performance evaluation feedback of DRM
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, along with experience with databases like SQL or NoSQL. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also necessary. Familiarity with cloud services, DevOps practices, and agile methodologies is preferred. Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders are required.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a closely related field.
With a minimum of four years in Revenue Management at the Director level across multiple hotels—or equivalent Area Director of Revenue Management experience outside of Accor—candidates should be well-prepared for this role.
