PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Line Quality Controller (QC) leads a team in the bouquet-making facility while ensuring all bouquets meet customer specifications and quality standards. They perform real-time online quality inspections, promptly correct non-conformances, and balance production targets with strict quality compliance. The role includes coaching line team members on specifications, flower handling, hygiene, and SOPs, while maintaining accurate quality and production records. They also collaborate with intake, production, and supply chain teams to support sample preparation, finished product checks, and timely dispatch.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Lead an assigned production line in the bouquet-making facility while balancing output targets with strict quality standards.

Perform real-time online and finished product quality inspections to ensure compliance with customer specifications and SOPs.

Conduct intake quality checks, temperature monitoring, post-harvest solution verification, and packaging material inspections.

Identify, correct, and escalate quality non-conformances promptly to minimize issues.

Coach and supervise line team members on flower handling procedures, specifications, machine operation, hygiene standards, and GMP requirements.

Maintain accurate records of quality checks, rejections, temperatures, production activities, and training.

Support sample preparation, finished product verification, and dispatch readiness.

Collaborate with intake, production, supply chain, and quality teams to resolve issues and optimize line performance.

Enforce hygiene, PPE usage, and health & safety standards on the production line.

Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Holder of a bachelor’s degree/Diploma in business/ Quality Control, Logistics, or a related field.

At least 2 years of hands-on experience in sales and marketing, and has thorough product (flowers) knowledge.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Proven experience in coordinating supply chain activities, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and logistics operations.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluent in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili.

Must be comfortable explaining complex technical & procedural requirements in straightforward

COMPUTER LITERACY

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and others)

Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
