Responsibilities include managing and overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity, developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve organizational goals, coordinating with cross-functional teams to align resources and priorities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for analyzing performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement, conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to team members, and fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and professional growth. Additionally, you will be tasked with budget preparation and financial management, as well as representing the organization at industry events and maintaining stakeholder relationships.

Conduct comprehensive wound evaluations and follow-up assessments while providing diligent wound care for every patient.

Employ principles of contemporary wound care protocols when delivering treatment to individuals with both acute and chronic wounds.

Possesses extensive expertise in wound staging systems and their practical applications.

Creates customized skin care regimens aimed at preventing skin breakouts for patients.

Revise the care plan as needed based on the patient’s response to treatment, ensuring its ongoing relevance and efficacy. Continuously assess the overall effectiveness of the plan to determine necessary adjustments and enhancements.

Employ pain management strategies tailored to each patient’s needs, offering comprehensive education to both patients and their families about effective pain management methods.

Delivers comprehensive education to patients preparing for surgery that necessitates an ostomy. Conducts thorough pre- and post-operative assessments while ensuring patient and family members receive tailored educational support.

Proficient in understanding medications and ensuring their accurate administration, taking into account the patient’s age and clinical condition.

Serves as a key resource to physicians, nursing professionals, and other hospital staff members. Delivers educational training sessions on wound prevention, advanced wound care techniques, ostomy management, and incontinence treatment strategies specifically designed for nursing personnel.

Effectively conveys information in a clear and professional manner to nurse managers, nursing staff, and physicians as needed.

Consults with relevant healthcare professionals and departments to ensure a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach in addressing patient needs.

Attends seminars, conferences, and continuing education programs focused on wound prevention, wound management, and ostomy care. Engages with professional societies to remain informed about evolving practices, emerging advancements, and innovative treatments in wound care.

Proficient in analyzing and assessing existing clinical products in the marketplace, providing informed recommendations based on thorough evaluation.

All assessment data, investigation outcomes, delivered care, multidisciplinary team consultations, and interactions with both family and patients must be meticulously recorded in a precise, thorough, and prompt manner.

Conduct comprehensive pain evaluations and follow-up assessments, thereafter administering analgesic treatment in accordance with established protocols.

Unusual clinical and non-clinical observations or incidents must be reported without delay to the nurse manager, team leader, or physician.

Assess the educational requirements of patients and their families, then develop and execute tailored teaching strategies to address those needs effectively.

Capable of identifying patients in pre-arrest or arrest conditions and promptly initiating Basic Life Support measures.

Maintain a secure setting for patients by strictly following infection control protocols and other established safety guidelines.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of three years of experience in a relevant field, preferably holding a degree in a related discipline. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in industry-standard software tools. Familiarity with project management methodologies and a track record of delivering results within tight deadlines are essential. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Additional qualifications may include certifications or specialized training pertinent to the role.

Graduates holding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BCN) or a diploma from a nursing program recognized by an accredited institution are encouraged to apply.

Currently, licensed and in good standing with the Nursing Council of Kenya, the candidate must meet this essential requirement to practice in the field.

Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) with current credentials in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) operation. Proficient in recognizing life-threatening emergencies, providing high-quality chest compressions, delivering appropriate ventilation, and effectively using AED’s in critical situations. Maintains up-to-date training to ensure immediate and effective response during cardiac or respiratory crises.

Preferred certification as a Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (CW OCN) is strongly encouraged.

A minimum of six years of professional experience within an acute care hospital setting is required.

Professionals must exhibit a robust, evidence-based understanding of contemporary practices in Medical-Surgical nursing to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to clinical standards.

Exhibit strong leadership and managerial capabilities through strategic planning, team motivation, and effective decision-making to drive organizational success and foster a productive work environment.
