Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment across all facilities, ensuring their efficient and uninterrupted operation.

Perform scheduled inspections, diagnostic tests, and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems strictly adhering to manufacturer guidelines and established safety protocols.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical malfunctions in HVAC systems at the component level, executing precise corrective repairs to enhance equipment longevity and minimize replacement expenses.

Responsible for the upkeep, repair, and enhancement of air conditioning systems and their related ventilation control mechanisms to guarantee ideal indoor air quality and comfort levels.

Design and execute preventive maintenance initiatives for HVAC systems, enhancing operational reliability and minimizing unplanned downtime.

Responsible for supervising and evaluating HVAC work executed by third-party contractors or service providers to confirm adherence to established quality, safety, and performance benchmarks.

Maintain meticulous documentation and records of all HVAC-related tasks, encompassing maintenance timetables, service documentation, and engineering schematics.

Verify that HVAC controls and automation systems are calibrated and configured accurately to enhance energy efficiency and maintain consistent operations.

Strictly comply with all health, safety, and environmental mandates governing the management of refrigerants, electrical systems, and mechanical components.

Offer expert technical guidance and recommendations to management and maintenance staff regarding HVAC systems, enhancements, and related concerns.

Perform any other duties deemed reasonable, pertinent, and aligned with business needs as directed by the line manager.

The requirements

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience. Proficiency in GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Familiarity with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, and advanced Excel skills are required. Professional certifications, such as CPA or CMA, are highly desirable.

A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) credential or its equivalent is a mandatory prerequisite for this position.

A recognized institution must award a Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or a comparable technical qualification.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair, preferably within institutional, industrial, or commercial settings.

Proficiency in environmental and safety regulations pertinent to refrigerant handling and system maintenance is required.

Demonstrates proficiency in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.

Demonstrated proficiency in analytical problem-solving and precise diagnostic capabilities, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
