POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data Analyst Team Lead, who reports to the Senior Manager of Data Products, will spearhead the creation and implementation of data-as-a-product solutions for the market. This role demands a comprehensive grasp of data requirements across producers, market partners, and consumers, along with the capability to translate these insights into well-defined, prioritized data solutions and a strategic delivery roadmap. Additionally, you will conceptualize how these solutions can generate actionable insights to drive meaningful benefits for our producer partners and the planet. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all released data products meet functional specifications and deliver maximum value.
You will collaborate with the Senior Manager of Data Products to co-develop the data delivery roadmap, define work priorities for the team, and provide coaching to enhance overall knowledge and expertise.
Approximately half of your time will involve providing team leadership and executing strategic initiatives, while the other half will focus on practical, hands-on operational project execution.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Oversee a group comprising 3 to 4 data analysts, ensuring their alignment with organizational objectives and fostering a collaborative work environment to drive data-driven decision-making.
Foster early awareness and participation in initiatives involving data components to facilitate the consideration of data requirements.
Remaining current with advancements in data reporting technologies is essential to ensure proficiency and alignment with evolving industry standards.
Gathering data reporting requirements from external clients and prospective customers;
Collaborate effectively with various departments to generate external insights derived from data, focusing on translating analytical findings into actionable strategies.
Collaborate effectively with Product Managers to incorporate all necessary data requirements into the specifications for tooling.
Collaborate closely with the data engineering team to synchronize roadmaps, oversee dependencies, and recommend optimal data engineering solutions.
Enhance reporting functionalities for analytics teams on an ongoing basis, ensuring continuous advancement and optimization of their reporting frameworks.
The role involves deploying dashboards across the organization and facilitating project-related rollouts in collaboration with the Implementation team.
Facilitating collaboration with internal stakeholders throughout the customer rollout process is essential.
Periodically engage with field colleagues and relevant stakeholders who contribute to data collection to detect potential biases and reporting risks. Proactively provide them with detailed reports that not only highlight these issues but also equip them with actionable strategies to mitigate such risks and biases effectively.
To implement a structured and consistent method for collecting regional insights, ensuring their integration into internal reports, thereby fostering bottom-up strategic initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING:
A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is required, along with a strong command of mathematics, statistics, and/or data analysis.
With a minimum of seven years of hands-on experience in data reporting and analysis, the ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in extracting actionable insights from complex datasets and transforming them into clear, strategic recommendations. Proficiency in advanced reporting tools, statistical analysis methodologies, and data visualization platforms is essential to excel in this role. The position demands meticulous attention to detail, the ability to interpret trends, and a commitment to delivering accurate, timely, and impactful data-driven solutions.
One year of experience in a managerial role, or an equivalent background in coaching, mentoring, and training junior staff members, is required.
Analyze root causes and address issues with initiative and teamwork to implement effective solutions.
Proficient in end-to-end utilization of leading data visualization platforms, including Power BI and Tableau.
