About the role

Subculture is in search of a Finance Strategy Associate to collaborate closely with our internal Finance team and external stakeholders, driving the Company’s fundraising initiatives and financial strategy amid our rapid growth phase. In this role, you will gain direct exposure to the complexities of scaling a business within an emerging market context. You will enhance your financial, strategic, and operational expertise by contributing to executive decision-making processes and leading key strategic finance projects, stakeholder relationships, and critical workstreams.

Oversee a comprehensive range of essential duties encompassing strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and operational execution to drive organizational success. Lead and mentor teams to ensure alignment with company objectives while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. Analyze performance metrics to identify trends, optimize processes, and implement data-driven solutions for continuous improvement. Develop and maintain key partnerships with stakeholders to enhance business relationships and facilitate seamless project delivery. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies, mitigating risks and upholding corporate governance standards. Conducts comprehensive financial evaluations to assess organizational performance, scrutinizing revenue streams, expenditures, and profitability metrics to identify trends and opportunities for enhancement. Develops detailed forecasts, budgets, and financial models to support strategic decision-making, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, providing actionable insights to optimize resource allocation and mitigate financial risks. Maintains accuracy in financial reporting, adhering to regulatory standards and internal policies while delivering clear, concise presentations to stakeholders. Requires proficiency in financial software, advanced Excel skills, and strong analytical capabilities, along with a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, and preferably a minimum of three years of relevant experience.

Develop, maintain, and leverage financial models at both the Group and Company levels to support budgeting, strategic business planning, and capital acquisition initiatives.

Develop, sustain, and leverage supplementary tools—including short-term cash flow projections, unit economics assessments, and demand elasticity analyses—to inform strategic decision-making.

In collaboration with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, perform comprehensive analyses of critical unit economics metrics, including credit loss and post-sales performance, to derive actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.

Partner with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Business Intelligence (BI) teams to structure and analyze data, design forecasting models, and generate actionable insights—leveraging diverse data sources such as IoT, payment systems, and other inputs to inform strategic decisions and serve both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, utilize FP&A software solutions to enhance forecasting accuracy and deliver value-added insights.

We are seeking an experienced professional to spearhead capital raising initiatives, leveraging robust financial acumen to secure funding from diverse sources. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in developing and executing strategic fundraising campaigns, cultivating strong relationships with investors, and negotiating favorable terms. Responsibilities include identifying potential funding opportunities, preparing compelling pitch materials, and managing investor communications throughout the funding process. A deep understanding of financial markets, valuation methodologies, and regulatory compliance is essential, along with exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills to drive successful outcomes.

Partner with the Chief Financial Officer to refine and implement the financing strategy.

Oversee and manage capital acquisition efforts encompassing equity, debt, grant, and technical assistance funding processes.

Oversee the creation and refinement of essential capital raise elements, including financial modeling, investment memoranda, secure data rooms, market research, and due diligence initiatives, while coordinating closely with external advisory teams to ensure alignment and efficiency throughout the process.

Oversee and administer the full spectrum of financing initiatives, specifically focusing on foreign exchange (FX) risk mitigation strategies.

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development professional to identify and pursue new business opportunities, foster strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in sales, negotiation, and market expansion, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with clients and stakeholders. Responsibilities include conducting market research, developing business strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, along with at least three years of relevant experience in business development or a comparable role. Proficiency in CRM tools and data analysis is essential, and familiarity with industry trends is highly desirable.

Offer financial expertise to support business development efforts, including structuring pricing for current products, launching new offerings such as carbon revenue models, insurance products, extended warranties, refurbished sales, and digital customer portals or marketplace platforms, as well as entering new markets—such as establishing subsidiaries—to build robust business cases, determine competitive pricing strategies, and secure necessary capital.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Finance, this role is accountable for preparing comprehensive financial reports, analyzing variances, and ensuring accuracy in all financial statements. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather data, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and presenting insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making. Proficiency in financial software, strong analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail are essential requirements. Additionally, the role demands the ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high levels of precision and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.

In collaboration with the FP&A Manager, develop comprehensive stakeholder reports highlighting the company’s financial, operational, and impact performance for key audiences such as the Board, shareholders, lenders, grant providers, and partners.

Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer to enhance corporate governance initiatives, including board management, and actively participate in risk management strategies.

With a minimum of four years of hands-on experience in financial modelling, financial analysis, or capital raising, ideally gained within corporate finance, private equity, venture capital firms, or an in-house corporate setting.

Candidates pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation— or those who have already earned it—along with professionals holding an accounting qualification or an MBA, are strongly encouraged to apply.
