Job Description

The IT & Development Assistant will oversee ITF’s technological infrastructure to enhance and sustain its youth development initiatives. This position is responsible for administering the organization’s ICT systems, providing technical assistance to staff, and keeping ITF aligned with the latest advancements in nonprofit ICT solutions.

The key duties of this position involve overseeing and managing specific operational tasks, ensuring all processes are executed efficiently and in compliance with established protocols. This role requires a strong ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless project execution. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for analyzing performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategic solutions to enhance overall productivity and quality standards.

Develop and oversee the creation of the organization’s print and digital publications, ensuring cohesive branding and messaging across all materials.

Deliver fundamental technical assistance to both staff members and volunteers through the help desk.

Provide technological solutions to address and resolve issues as required.

Perform systematic hardware maintenance on a regular basis to ensure optimal functionality and longevity of equipment.

Design and engineer system applications tailored for internal organizational use, ensuring optimal functionality, reliability, and performance.

Oversee the organization’s information systems and communications network infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality and security.

Formulate and lead strategic ICT initiatives to drive organizational expansion and advancement.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements and shifts in information and communication technology as they relate to youth development and nonprofit sectors.

Enrolled in at least the second year of an undergraduate program at a university or college, with a focus on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or a related field.

Demonstrates exceptional organizational capabilities alongside a proven capacity to consistently meet established deadlines with precision and efficiency.

Proven capability to operate effectively both autonomously and collaboratively within team settings.

Able to deliver foundational training sessions effectively.

Demonstrates a strong initiative to acquire new skills and actively seeks opportunities to contribute beyond assigned tasks.

The salary package for this position is structured to align with industry standards and reflects the candidate’s qualifications and experience. ITF Volunteer staff have access to numerous opportunities, though the position is unpaid. All ITF staff work in a full-time volunteer capacity, covering their own essential costs like accommodation and daily commuting to the office. ITF solely covers direct operational expenses, including travel for meetings, field visits, and official duties.
