Our esteemed and expanding law firm is in search of a driven and meticulous Junior Associate to bolster its team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing exceptional legal services across the firm’s diverse practice areas, foster client satisfaction, manage matters efficiently, and contribute to the ongoing expansion of the practice.

Oversee a range of critical tasks, including managing team operations, coordinating project timelines, and ensuring adherence to company policies. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align goals, resolve challenges, and drive continuous improvement. Monitor progress through regular evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and mentor team members to foster professional growth. Additionally, maintain accurate documentation, report on key metrics, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards.

Craft and examine litigation documents—such as pleadings, applications, and correspondence—with meticulous attention to accuracy and legal precision.

Diligently appear in court to advocate for clients with the utmost professionalism and expertise.

Responsibilities involve the preparation and evaluation of legal documents, such as HR policies and manuals, employment-related agreements, and commercial contracts.

Provide legal services with precision, efficiency, and professionalism, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to clients.

Perform comprehensive legal research and deliver precise, succinct, and actionable legal opinions.

Craft insightful legal articles and authoritative thought leadership content to share expertise and perspectives within the industry.

Design and deliver comprehensive training materials, and conduct client and internal training sessions as needed.

Compile internal reports and other legal documentation in adherence to specified deadlines.

Facilitate billing and accounts receivable functions to guarantee prompt invoice issuance and debt recovery.

Consistently demonstrate and embody the firm’s core values, culture, and professional benchmarks across all assigned responsibilities.

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, in alignment with the Firm’s established policies and procedures.

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, along with a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary to excel in this role. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards is highly desirable. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team is critical. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are expected to ensure efficient project execution.

Obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from an accredited university.

Experienced legal professional holding a valid practicing certificate from the High Court of Kenya.

A minimum of three years of post-admission experience is required.

Proven experience in litigation practice is an essential requirement.

Demonstrated expertise in preparing legal documentation, performing comprehensive legal research, and providing strategic client counsel.

Exceptional proficiency in analytical reasoning, research methodologies, and legal writing is required.

Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adept at fostering productive interactions with clients and colleagues alike.

Demonstrated understanding of employment law and commercial law, accompanied by a strong desire to deepen expertise in these specialized fields.
