A Juries Doctor (LLB) degree from a reputable and accredited academic institution is required.

Holders of a Postgraduate Diploma in Law issued by the Kenya School of Law meet the educational eligibility criteria for this position.

Highly qualified legal practitioner admitted to the High Court of Kenya, demonstrating expertise in legal advocacy and courtroom representation.

A registered affiliate of the Law Society of Kenya, demonstrating adherence to professional standards in legal practice.

A valid and current practicing certificate issued by an applicable professional body, when relevant.

Demonstrates strong competency in utilizing various computer applications with efficiency and adaptability.

The incumbent will be tasked with executing a range of duties encompassing both operational and strategic functions. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily workflows, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures. Additionally, the role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to meet stringent deadlines. Establishing and enforcing directives and frameworks governing the Union’s representation in legal proceedings.

Responsibilities include overseeing legal disputes by coordinating litigation, facilitating alternative dispute resolution methods, and negotiating settlements.

Legal research and analysis are performed to facilitate informed decision-making, offering strategic recommendations on legal and regulatory matters to guide organizational outcomes.

Managing legal risks and establishing robust compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Drafting diverse legal agreements, contracts, and documents while verifying their precision, adherence to statutory regulations, internal policies, and procedural frameworks.

We will develop and deliver training and awareness initiatives to the Commission to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
