Assist in maintaining adherence to all relevant regulations by overseeing day-to-day operations and conducting periodic evaluations to ensure compliance with current legislation, regulatory standards, internal policies, established processes, documentation requirements, and control measures.
Ensure compliance risks are identified, assessed, controlled, and enforced to mitigate potential threats and uphold regulatory standards.
Support the detection of potential suspicious transactions and ensure their prompt reporting to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer, while maintaining strict confidentiality to avoid any inadvertent disclosure.
Evaluate and refine existing company processes, operational manuals, and systems to confirm they remain compliant with current regulations, policies, mandates, escalation protocols, and control frameworks through periodic updates.
Assist in identifying areas where compliance may be lacking and provide recommendations for corrective actions in collaboration with the assistant manager of risk and compliance.
Initiate follow-up communications with relevant stakeholders to address the completion of the Compliance Gap Analysis/Tracker.
Assigned responsibilities may include various additional tasks as needed from time to time.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in a finance-related discipline with a Second Class Upper Division classification, a Bachelor of Laws, or a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
Requires a comprehensive grasp of pertinent laws and regulations governing the industry, ensuring a thorough familiarity with current legal frameworks. Must maintain awareness of evolving legislative amendments and compliance obligations to uphold organizational adherence to regulatory standards.
Analytical Skills. Proficiency in evaluating intricate data to detect potential compliance concerns. Performing comprehensive investigations to accurately interpret and enforce applicable regulatory standards.
Demonstrates exceptional accuracy and meticulous attention to detail when examining documents and data. Proactively identifies inconsistencies and discrepancies to uphold compliance standards.
Demonstrated ability to maintain meticulous organization of compliance documentation and records is essential. The role demands strong prioritization skills to efficiently manage competing tasks, consistently meet deadlines, and address compliance inquiries in a timely manner.
