The remuneration for this position ranges from KSH 50,000 to KSH 75,000.

Oversee and execute a range of critical duties to ensure seamless operations, including managing stakeholder communications, coordinating cross-functional projects, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies. Collaborate with senior leadership to align initiatives with strategic objectives, while analyzing performance metrics to drive data-informed decision-making. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across all functional areas. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, company standards, and best practices to mitigate risks and uphold operational integrity. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Craft and plate dishes in strict adherence to specified menus and culinary recipes while ensuring consistency in presentation and flavor.

Assist in the daily management of kitchen operations, particularly during periods of staff shortages or heightened demand.

Maintain high standards of quality across both Chinese cuisine and Kenyan/local dishes.

Provide support in food preparation, portioning, and plating tasks as needed.

Maintain impeccable hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards in strict adherence to HACCP protocols and company regulations. Additionally, oversee the proper storage and handling of all food supplies and ingredients to ensure compliance and quality.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues in the kitchen to facilitate seamless service operations.

Receive and implement directives from the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor as instructed.

To reduce food waste and contribute to cost-control efforts, implement strategies that enhance efficiency and sustainability in food usage.

Maintain the prompt preparation and delivery of meals throughout all service periods.

Requirements

Demonstrates a successful track record in culinary roles such as Chef, Cook, or related positions within high-volume kitchen settings.

Proven expertise in both Chinese cuisine and Kenyan/local cuisine is essential for this role.

A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related discipline would be beneficial.

Demonstrates proficiency in food preparation methods, kitchen machinery operation, and adherence to food safety regulations.

Adaptability to perform effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced settings is required. The capacity to accommodate varying shift schedules, including weekends and public holidays, as needed, is essential.

Effective interpersonal communication and collaborative abilities are essential for success in this role. Strong teamwork skills are required to foster productive working relationships and achieve shared objectives.
