Founded nearly 70 years ago as JR Mine Company, the firm became part of Aon’s global expansion in 1997 when Aon, a premier provider of risk management, HR consulting, and outsourcing services, acquired London Mine’s U.K. shareholding. This strategic move led to the formation of Aon Mine, which later transitioned to Aon. In 2017, private equity firm Capital Works, in collaboration with local shareholders—including government entities in key markets—acquired Aon’s stake in several African operations, establishing what is now Aon’s largest Global Network Correspondent.
