The Medical Officer will deliver exceptional clinical care to patients, engage in collaborative multidisciplinary patient management, facilitate teaching and training initiatives, and uphold the hospital’s commitment to providing sustainable, outstanding holistic healthcare services.

Oversee a range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and operational execution to drive organizational success. Develop and implement comprehensive policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align objectives, streamline workflows, and foster innovation. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data trends, and present actionable insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making. Lead initiatives aimed at optimizing resources, reducing costs, and improving overall productivity while maintaining high standards of quality and service delivery.

Evaluate, identify, provide therapeutic interventions for, and oversee patient care across outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and specialized healthcare environments.

Create and execute individualized treatment plans that align with established clinical guidelines and evidence-based best practices.

Execute medical procedures in alignment with your professional scope of practice and demonstrated competence.

Engage in ward rounds, conduct clinical audits, review mortality and morbidity cases, and contribute to quality improvement projects to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Ensure that patient records and clinical documentation are maintained with precision and timeliness.

Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, allied health professionals, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient management.

Deliver health education and counseling services to patients as well as their families.

Provide support during emergency calls, engage in outreach initiatives, and assist with community health programs as assigned.

Provide guidance and facilitate the professional development of medical students, interns, and other healthcare trainees through structured training and mentorship programs.

Play a vital role in advancing research, driving innovation, and implementing evidence-based clinical practices.

Ensure strict compliance with professional, ethical, legal, and regulatory standards applicable to medical practice.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field, complemented by a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in software development. Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including but not limited to Java, Python, or C++, is essential. The ideal applicant should demonstrate a strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles. Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and experience with DevOps practices will be highly advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment are required. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences. Experience in full-stack development or relevant certifications will be considered a plus.

Holders must possess a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.

Licensed and registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).

Possession of a current and valid professional license is required for this position.

Having successfully completed an internship program, the candidate brings practical, hands-on experience to the role. This training period has equipped them with foundational skills and industry-specific knowledge, demonstrating their ability to apply theoretical concepts in real-world settings. The experience gained has prepared them to adapt to professional environments, work collaboratively in teams, and contribute meaningfully to organizational goals from day one.

A minimum of one (1) year of post-internship clinical experience is highly desirable.

Certification in both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is highly beneficial.
