Role Summary
The Batch Hair Technician plays a pivotal role in reinforcing brand credibility and market influence by performing batch testing on all hair products and analyzing evolving consumer trends and preferences. Collaborating with the hair care team, the technician will engage in targeted salon education initiatives and deliver compelling product demonstrations with significant impact. This position, based in Kenya, centers on advancing technical expertise by offering rigorous quality assurance oversight, alongside training professional stylists, salon partners, and internal sales teams. Serving as a critical liaison, the technician ensures hair products align with both quality benchmarks and market demands, adhering to manufacturing and brand specifications.
Oversee and execute core duties encompassing strategic planning, operational oversight, and team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity, compliance, and performance across departments. Monitor workflows, analyze key performance indicators, and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize processes and resource allocation. Serve as a liaison between senior management and staff, fostering clear communication, alignment, and collaboration to drive cohesive execution of business strategies. Lead initiatives to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal governance frameworks while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Quality Assurance: Uphold product quality by adhering to Hack’s standard operating procedures and aligning with market and consumer expectations.
Educational Leadership involves developing and implementing the regional training schedule, which encompasses various formats such as workshops, seminars, and trade show demonstrations.
Technical Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team to enhance product sell-in and deliver comprehensive technical product knowledge training to sales representatives.
Monitor hair care industry developments and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for product enhancement and potential line extensions.
Relationship Management: Handle technical queries, address product concerns, and onboard new salon partners.
Ensure uniform product application and enhance brand visibility throughout the professional salon setting.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, coupled with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role, is required. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills, are essential. Proficiency in industry-standard software, tools, and methodologies is necessary to succeed in this position. Prior experience leading cross-functional teams or managing complex projects is highly desirable.
A diploma or equivalent qualification in hairdressing and beauty is required.
A minimum of four years of practical experience in professional styling is required.
Proficiency in both English and Kiswahili is required.
Expertise in advanced hair care techniques, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, and demonstrated ability to deliver compelling presentations.
A strategic thinker with a strong organizational aptitude and assertive demeanor, combined with an impeccable personal presentation.
Exceptional proficiency in hairstyling coupled with a keen awareness of evolving market trends will be highly advantageous.
