The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, alongside at least three years of experience in workforce management, preferably within the textile or apparel industry. Fair Chain Workforce establishes an equitable and sustainable global workforce framework by linking audit-trained, high-performing accountants in Kenya with accounting firms across the Netherlands.
Our Nairobi-based team collaborates exclusively with Dutch accounting firms, delivering premium accounting, compilation, and financial reporting services tailored to the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
We prioritize the production of precise, standardized, and audit-ready financial documentation that complies with Dutch regulatory standards. Our workplace fosters a results-oriented culture, emphasizing accountability, operational efficiency, and unwavering quality.
Top Performers Only
This position seeks accomplished audit seniors and assistant managers, particularly those with Big 4 training, who have demonstrated consistent high performance.
We are specifically looking for:
Seasoned professionals holding positions at the Senior Associate or Assistant Manager level—or their equivalent within a premier organization—are sought for this opportunity.
Completed the Advanced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential or the Certified Public Accountant Kenya (CPA-K), demonstrating expertise in accounting principles and regulatory compliance.
Professionals capable of autonomously overseeing numerous year-end documentation projects and ensuring strict adherence to deadlines while maintaining exceptional standards are encouraged to apply.
This role offers experienced audit professionals an opportunity to advance their careers by shifting from audit testing and review to assuming complete responsibility for financial reporting deliverables. Tailored for individuals with prior audit experience seeking to transition beyond traditional audit functions, this position is designed for mid-to-senior-level practitioners rather than entry-level candidates.
You will assume a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for executing key duties that align with our strategic objectives. This role demands a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. You must possess a proven track record of delivering measurable results in previous capacities, along with the ability to adapt to evolving challenges. Additionally, you will be expected to uphold rigorous standards of professionalism while contributing to innovative solutions that drive operational excellence.
As a Senior Accountant, you will assume complete responsibility for the year-end compilation and financial reporting processes for Dutch clients.
You will be tasked with overseeing the final reporting deliverables and ensuring the technical precision of financial statements, rather than conducting audits.
Your work includes:
Review accounting records to detect discrepancies or potential risks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Executing final modifications, including accruals, provisions, and reclassifications.
Transforming audited accounting records into financial statements and condensed reports compliant with Dutch regulatory standards.
Restructuring and overseeing numerous year-end files within a demanding, deadline-oriented setting while maintaining organization and efficiency.
We ensure the delivery of precise, thoroughly documented files that are fully prepared for review.
We are committed to enhancing operational efficiency, elevating documentation standards, and expediting project turnaround times.
Maintaining courteous and effective correspondence with Dutch accountants is required.
This position demands both technical precision and a steadfast commitment to rapid, decisive action, alongside a deep sense of accountability for outcomes.
What You Bring
Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) with advanced qualifications and full license is required.
A minimum of six years of audit expertise attained within public practice is required, with a preference for candidates from Big 4 firms or other top-tier organizations.
Demonstrates a comprehensive grasp of the entire accounting cycle as well as financial reporting standards under IFRS.
Proficiency in handling year-end financial files, conducting audit procedures, and maintaining comprehensive working paper documentation is required.
Experiences a proven capacity to manage workloads autonomously with strong productivity and an unwavering commitment to accuracy.
Demonstrates exceptional organization skills and accountability for meeting deadlines.
Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities and possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in cloud accounting platforms such as Exact Online is preferred, with demonstrated experience in QuickBooks, Xero, or comparable systems also acceptable.
Demonstrates an ability to rapidly acquire proficiency in Dutch GAAP (RJ).
What We Offer
Attractive compensation package aligned with market rates for the Big 4, commensurate with experience and performance metrics, is provided.
Proficiency in collaborating with Dutch accounting firms and global clientele is required, along with a strong understanding of international business practices.
Professionally designed onboarding and training initiatives ensure proficiency in Dutch GAAP (RJ), system operations, and alignment with client-specific requirements.
In this dynamic setting, emphasis is placed on achieving exceptional results and maintaining a strong sense of accountability while fostering continuous professional development.
