Deliver expert technical and operational assistance to strategic planning and corporate coordination initiatives, encompassing the following responsibilities:
Assist in the formulation, integration, and oversight of the UNSC’s annual work plan, results frameworks, and strategic planning documents.
Assist in developing strategic and concept notes, as well as internal planning documents, to support the Deputy Director and senior management of the UNSC.
Assist in embedding gender equality and women’s empowerment objectives across UN system-wide mechanisms, harmonized approaches, and collaborative inter-agency frameworks.
Prepare briefing notes, background papers, and presentations to support senior leadership engagements, inter-agency meetings, and external events.
Deliver technical and operational assistance to UN system entities and inter-agency collaborative initiatives.
Provide assistance in gathering, evaluating, and updating current data regarding the UN system’s coordination frameworks, specialized technical bodies, and cross-agency initiatives pertinent to the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSC).
Provide support in the facilitation and follow-up of UNC initiatives, ensuring seamless coordination throughout the UN system.
Deliver comprehensive substantive and operational assistance for the arrangement of high-level inter-agency meetings, events, or initiatives, including coordination related to the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and consultations within the United Nations system.
Deliver technical assistance to the Secretariat overseeing the Gender Equality Acceleration Plan (GAP).
Deliver comprehensive technical and logistical assistance to enhance coordination and partnership initiatives within the UCSD framework.
Facilitate UNSC’s collaborations with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders—such as UN bodies, Member States, civil society organizations, academic institutions, and other strategic partners—to enhance system-wide alignment and progress on gender equality initiatives.
Assist with the planning and record-keeping of coordination meetings, consultations, and briefings organized by UNSC, which involves drafting agendas, compiling background materials, producing summaries, and tracking action items.
Support the seamless collaboration between UN Women divisions and offices to ensure alignment with UNSC mandates and the timely delivery of key outputs.
Support background research, assist with proposal development, and conduct stakeholder outreach as part of advocacy, communications, and resource mobilization initiatives.
