Role Summary
The Batch Hair Technician plays a pivotal role in reinforcing brand credibility and market visibility by performing batch testing on all hair products and analyzing shifting industry trends and consumer demands. Within the hair care team, this position involves engaging in targeted salon education initiatives and delivering impactful product demonstrations. Based in Kenya, the role emphasizes driving technical precision through quality assurance, alongside training professional stylists, salon partners, and internal sales teams. As a critical link between product performance and market alignment, the technician ensures hair products consistently meet quality benchmarks and brand specifications, in accordance with manufacturing and business objectives.
Oversee and execute core duties to ensure operational efficiency and team productivity, including managing project timelines, delegating tasks, and fostering collaboration across departments. Serve as a key liaison between leadership and staff, facilitating clear communication and alignment with organizational goals. Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategic initiatives to enhance workflows and deliver measurable results. Lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and uphold company policies while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Additionally, analyze data to drive informed decision-making and contribute to long-term planning efforts.
Quality Assurance: Verify that the product adheres to the quality benchmarks outlined in Hack’s standard operating procedures while aligning with market and consumer expectations.
Design and implement the regional training calendar, which encompasses workshops, seminars, and trade show demonstrations, to advance educational leadership initiatives.
Technical Sales Support involves collaborating with the sales team to enhance product sell-in and deliver technical product knowledge training to sales representatives.
The role involves conducting market intelligence to track emerging hair care trends and competitor actions, utilizing these insights to suggest enhancements to existing products and potential line extensions.
Relationship Management: Handle technical questions, address product concerns, and onboard new salon partners.
Ensure uniform product usage and reinforce brand presence across professional salon settings to maintain consistency and visibility.
Seeking a highly motivated individual with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in project management or related roles is required, with a strong preference for candidates possessing experience in the sports industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential, as is familiarity with CRM software. Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities are critical, along with the capacity to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in event planning, sponsorship coordination, or fan engagement initiatives is highly advantageous.
Diploma in Hairdressing and Beauty is a prerequisite for this role.
A minimum of four years of practical experience as a licensed stylist is required.
Languages: Must demonstrate proficiency in both English and Kiswahili.
An in-depth knowledge of hair care techniques, mastery of Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations are required.
A strategic-minded professional, distinguished by exceptional organizational skills, assertiveness, and a polished appearance.
Outstanding proficiency in hairstyling, coupled with a keen ability to stay abreast of evolving industry trends, will be highly advantageous.
