Job Purpose
The Assistant Valves Technician collaborates with the Valves Technician to carry out the complete valve rehabilitation process in the workshop. This position aids in receiving, inspecting, disassembling, cleaning, repairing, testing, and documenting valves while ensuring traceability and compliance with established quality standards. By supporting technical operations, maintaining precise documentation, and upholding safety and operational protocols, the Assistant helps facilitate an efficient workflow.

Valve Rehabilitation & Repair Support
We are seeking a skilled professional to provide expert assistance in the rehabilitation and repair of valves across various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, along with hands-on experience in valve maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair techniques. Assist with the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of various valve types, such as gate, globe, ball, butterfly, and check valves. Provide support for fundamental repair tasks, including lapping and packing replacement, while working under supervision.

Provide support in monitoring valves pending approval and confirm that no operations commence without explicit direction from the supervisor.
Maintains accurate records and ensures traceability of materials, processes, and products throughout their lifecycle, from receipt through production to final delivery.
Maintain precise records of job-related activities, meticulously track parts usage, and guarantee that all documentation is current and submitted in accordance with established deadlines.
Site Walkdown Support
Assist senior technicians in conducting site visits to assess valve conditions and document essential data.
Ensuring workplace safety, maintaining high-quality standards, and overseeing workshop maintenance are key priorities within this role. The position demands strict adherence to safety protocols, meticulous attention to quality assurance, and proactive management of workshop facilities to uphold operational efficiency. Responsibilities include implementing and enforcing safety guidelines, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any maintenance issues promptly to prevent disruptions. Additionally, the role requires continuous monitoring of quality control processes and collaboration with cross-functional teams to sustain compliance with industry regulations.
Ensure strict adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols while maintaining full compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and upholding impeccable housekeeping standards. Support the upkeep and maintenance of tools and workshop equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of five years of professional experience in the industry.
