To ensure the safe and timely transportation of cargo to designated delivery locations while adhering to specified schedules and protocols.

Operate articulated trucks and trailers with precision to ensure the secure and timely transport of goods along predetermined routes.

Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to verify operational safety and compliance with roadworthiness standards, documenting any defects immediately upon detection.

Maintain adherence to all applicable road traffic laws, transport regulations, and internal safety protocols established by the company.

Efficiently execute the loading, securing, and unloading of cargo while strictly adhering to established handling protocols to ensure operational safety and compliance.

Maintain precise documentation of deliveries, fuel consumption, mileage, and any incidents through logbooks or digital platforms.

Ensure strict adherence to assigned schedules and routes, promptly reporting any delays or incidents as they occur.

Ensure the assigned vehicle is consistently maintained with meticulous care, cleanliness, and thorough routine inspections.

Partner with fleet supervisors and mechanics to coordinate scheduled maintenance and repair activities.

Uphold a professional demeanor and deliver exceptional customer service in all interactions with clients, security personnel, or regulatory bodies.

Implement defensive driving techniques consistently to reduce hazards and uphold a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Profile

Proven experience operating articulated trucks and trailers for a minimum of five years is required.

O’ level or equivalent

Holds a current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements for heavy vehicles.

A clean driving history, free from any significant traffic violations, is required for this position.

Holding a Certificate in Defensive Driving tailored for Passenger Service Vehicles (PSV) is a key qualification for this role.

Proficiency in Occupational Health and Safety principles will be considered an advantageous qualification.

Proficiency in utilizing GPS tracking systems and optimizing route planning methodologies is essential.

Possesses a solid understanding of transport regulations, road networks, and best practices for safe cargo handling.
