Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of tasks and obligations associated with the position, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and standards. Accountable for performing key functions essential to the role, including but not limited to strategic planning, operational execution, and performance evaluation. Responsible for maintaining compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality benchmarks while fostering a productive and collaborative work environment. Diligently address challenges, optimize processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental and company-wide initiatives.

An incumbent at this rank will be stationed within the sub-county to oversee operations across one of the designated functional areas, including:

Crop production responsibilities involve cultivating and managing agricultural crops, from planting to harvesting. This role requires overseeing planting schedules, monitoring crop health, applying fertilizers and pesticides as needed, and ensuring optimal growing conditions. Additionally, it entails managing irrigation systems, coordinating with agricultural teams, and maintaining detailed records of crop yields and conditions. Strong knowledge of agronomic practices, soil management, and pest control is essential, along with the ability to operate and maintain farming equipment. Physical stamina, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are also critical for success in this position.

Assisting with land development initiatives, you will play a key role in supporting the planning and execution of projects aimed at transforming raw land into usable, compliant, and sustainable development sites. Your responsibilities will include conducting site analyses, preparing preliminary layouts, coordinating with engineers and surveyors, and ensuring adherence to zoning regulations and environmental standards. Additionally, you will contribute to feasibility studies, assist in securing necessary permits, and provide documentation to support project approvals. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, as you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, timely results. Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with land development regulations are required, while prior experience in civil engineering or a related field is highly desirable.

Engaging in agricultural extension initiatives and overseeing project management activities from the core responsibilities of this role.

Overseeing the information desk operations for the sub-county entails ensuring efficient management and provision of essential services to the public. This role involves coordinating inquiries, directing visitors to appropriate resources, and maintaining accurate records of interactions. Additionally, the position requires maintaining a welcoming and organized workspace to facilitate smooth operations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to effectively assist diverse groups of individuals and address their needs promptly.

Assigned tasks, as directed by the supervisor, shall be executed in addition to regular responsibilities.

Applicants must meet the following prerequisites to be considered for the position. A relevant bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is mandatory. Candidates should possess at least three years of professional experience in a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced analytical skills are essential. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are also required. Additionally, familiarity with industry-specific software or tools is advantageous.

Applicants must hold Kenyan citizenship, which must be verified by providing a valid national identification document.

CPE and GCSE certificates must be attached to the application.

A Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, Environmental Science, or a closely related field is required for this position.
