The People and Culture Intern will deliver comprehensive administrative, operational, and coordination support to the People and Culture Department. This role involves contributing to employee records management, recruitment efforts, onboarding processes, leave administration, internal communications, training coordination, Foundation activities, staff engagement initiatives, and general human resources operations.

Overseeing and executing key operational duties, the incumbent will be responsible for a wide array of tasks to ensure seamless organizational performance. This encompasses managing daily workflows, coordinating cross-departmental initiatives, and maintaining compliance with established policies and regulatory standards. Additionally, the role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to prioritize competing demands effectively. The position requires adherence to deadlines, proactive problem-solving, and consistent delivery of high-quality outcomes. Collaboration with stakeholders at all levels will be essential, along with the ability to adapt to evolving priorities in a dynamic work environment.

Responsible for maintaining and updating employee records, personnel files, and HR databases to ensure precise and well-organized documentation.

Deliver comprehensive administrative assistance for recruitment operations, encompassing interview scheduling, candidate correspondence, onboarding procedures, and induction initiatives.

Oversee the management of leave, attendance, and employee records systems, maintaining precise updates and generating accurate reports in a timely manner.

Create, circulate, and update internal HR communications, notices, and employee correspondence to ensure clarity and consistency.

The responsibilities include organizing and overseeing employee training initiatives, with a focus on scheduling sessions, managing logistics, monitoring attendance, and maintaining accurate records.

Facilitate the strategic development and implementation of Foundation initiatives, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, and community engagement efforts.

Compile, update, and oversee HR reports, tracking systems, databases, and other essential departmental records with accuracy and consistency.

Assist in organizing employee welfare programs, staff engagement events, hospital visits, bereavement support services, and employee recognition initiatives.

Organize and schedule meetings, prepare all necessary materials, document detailed minutes, and deliver comprehensive administrative support to the Human Resource Department.

Execute a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to facilitate the seamless delivery of HR services and advance departmental goals.

Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of the manager or senior leadership as needed.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, supplemented by at least three years of hands-on experience in software development or a comparable technical role. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, alongside a strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and system design principles. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies are also required. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams are expected.

A bachelor’s degree, diploma, or higher diploma in human resource management, business administration, psychology, sociology, public relations, or a closely related discipline is required.

Seeking a recent graduate or a student in their final year to gain hands-on experience in the field of Human Resources.

Professional certification or active membership with HRM would provide a competitive edge.

Expertise in developing and managing web-based applications is required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create detailed reports, analyze data, and deliver polished presentations. Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or Jira to track progress and collaborate effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clarity in conveying complex information. Familiarity with CRM systems, such as Salesforce, to support customer relationship management and streamline workflows.
