Job Purpose
The Medical Officer will deliver exceptional clinical care to patients, engage in collaborative patient management across disciplines, facilitate educational and training initiatives, and uphold the hospital’s commitment to providing outstanding, sustainable, and holistic healthcare services.
Oversee and execute core duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and performance evaluation to ensure organizational objectives are met. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems that enhance efficiency, compliance, and productivity across departments. Lead cross-functional teams to drive project completion, foster collaboration, and achieve measurable outcomes. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures as needed. Represent the organization in external engagements, including stakeholder meetings, industry conferences, and regulatory compliance reviews. Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and industry standards while maintaining transparency and accountability in all operations.
Evaluate, identify, and provide treatment for patients across various healthcare environments, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, emergency departments, and specialized care facilities.
Formulate and execute tailored treatment strategies that align with recognized clinical protocols and evidence-based methodologies.
Conduct medical procedures in accordance with established scope of practice and professional competencies.
Engage actively in ward rounds, clinical audits, mortality and morbidity reviews, and quality improvement projects to enhance patient care standards and operational efficiency.
Ensure patient records and clinical documentation are maintained with precision and timeliness.
Work in close coordination with consultants, nurses, allied health professionals, and other members of the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Deliver health education and counseling services to patients and their families.
Engage in emergency response operations, community health outreach efforts, and assigned public health programs to support community well-being and safety.
Facilitate the education and guidance of medical students, interns, and other healthcare trainees through structured training programs and one-on-one mentorship sessions.
Advance research initiatives, foster innovation, and uphold evidence-based clinical practice standards.
Maintain strict adherence to professional, ethical, legal, and regulatory standards that govern the practice of medicine.

A recognized institution must have awarded a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) degree or an equivalent qualification.
Licensed and registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
A current, active professional license in good standing is required for this role.
Internship training must be successfully completed.
A minimum of one (1) year of post-internship clinical experience is highly desirable.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) would be highly beneficial.
