Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and performance evaluation to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently and effectively. Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards while promoting a culture of transparency and accountability within the organization.

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development professional to drive growth and expand our market presence. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and a proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships. Key responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue targets. Additionally, the role requires excellent communication abilities, proficiency in CRM tools, and the capacity to analyze market trends to inform strategic decisions. A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred, along with 3–5 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, or a similar role.

Formulate and implement a monthly strategy to enhance practice growth while establishing quarterly objectives for revenue, pipeline expansion, and client acquisition.

Cultivate high-quality leads by leveraging professional connections, referral alliances, industry events, and strategic outreach initiatives.

Consistently cultivate a robust pipeline comprising a minimum of five potential clients each month.

Develop and oversee a minimum of four strategic referral partnerships that remain actively engaged throughout the year.

Craft monthly thought leadership materials encompassing tax insights, detailed analyses of Finance Acts, audit preparation guides, and interactive webinars.

Serve as the firm’s official representative at IC PAK events, industry forums, and other professional gatherings.

Develop and cultivate a top-tier tax and audit team that delivers exceptional performance, fully aligned with the strategic objectives for practice expansion.

Tax, Audit, and Compliance professionals are responsible for ensuring adherence to financial regulations, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and conducting internal audits to identify risks and inefficiencies. They must possess strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software and regulatory frameworks. Additionally, they collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance issues, support external auditors during reviews, and implement corrective actions to maintain organizational integrity. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically required, along with relevant certifications such as CPA or CIA.

Responsible for managing the company’s statutory tax compliance, guaranteeing the precise and punctual submission of all tax obligations.

Lead tax compliance engagements encompassing corporate income tax, VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, Excise Duty, NSSF, SHIP, Housing Levy, and Installment Tax filings, all processed via the tax system.

Provide expert tax advisory services encompassing strategic tax planning, transaction structuring, compliance evaluations, and optimization methodologies to enhance financial outcomes.

Perform comprehensive assessments of tax health and evaluate tax-related risks, delivering practical recommendations and structured remediation strategies.

Skilled professionals will advocate on behalf of clients in interactions with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), handling audits, compliance assessments, objections, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedures, and proceedings before the Tax Appeals Tribunal.

Assess legislative and regulatory developments, providing prompt updates and advisory notes for clients to ensure awareness and compliance.

Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership regarding potential tax, financial, and regulatory risks impacting both the organization and its clientele.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of five years of experience in a relevant role, coupled with a bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and professional training. Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is required, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Prior leadership or project management experience is a plus.

A recognized CPA(K) credential, complemented by an active and compliant IC PAK membership, or an equivalent qualification such as ARCA or CA, is required.

A recognized university degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a closely related discipline is required.

A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in tax and audit within a professional services setting is required.

Proven success in business development, evidenced by client acquisition, revenue generation, successful proposals secured, or expansion of practice.

Demonstrated success in overseeing full-cycle statutory audits, encompassing comprehensive planning through to final execution.

Represents clients in engagements with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), ensuring compliance with tax regulations and optimizing client positions during audits or assessments.

Candidates must possess strong expertise in audit software solutions, including Caneware and Craftwork, or comparable platforms.

Proven expertise in utilizing accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.

Possessing advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and prior exposure to data analytics are advantageous qualifications.
