Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties and responsibilities to ensure operational excellence and organizational success. Oversee the establishment and maintenance of robust financial controls throughout the organization to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Develops and oversees budgets, ensuring financial plans align with organizational goals while tracking expenditures to maintain fiscal accountability.

To oversee the management of external and internal audits, conduct due diligence, facilitate regulatory inspections, and ensure the implementation of external audit recommendations.

To ensure comprehensive oversight of all Bank and alternative channel reconciliations, including MESA and agency networks, maintaining accuracy and consistency across all transactional platforms.

To facilitate precise and prompt reporting to the Central Bank of Kenya in compliance with prudential regulations and the requirements of other stakeholders.

The ALSO Secretary serves as a pivotal administrative support role, managing documentation, coordinating meetings, and ensuring compliance with governance protocols. Responsibilities include preparing meeting agendas and minutes, maintaining confidential records, and distributing relevant materials to committee members. The position requires exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential, along with proficiency in standard office software and an understanding of corporate governance practices. Prior experience in a similar administrative or executive support capacity is preferred.

Responsible for the leadership and administration of Tax Management and Compliance functions.

To manage partner reporting functions and verify compliance with partner agreements.

Oversee the financial reporting system to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of financial data.

Treasury management involves strategically allocating idle funds and overseeing cash flow to maintain seamless business operations.

Overseeing the work of Accountants and Account Assistants, this role involves providing direct supervision and guidance to ensure accurate financial operations and compliance with established procedures.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Head of Finance as needed.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, commerce, business administration, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university in Kenya is required.

A recognized professional certification, such as CPA (K), ARCA, CFA, or an equivalent credential, is a mandatory requirement for this role.

Possess an active membership registration from IC PAK.

A master’s degree in a related discipline is highly advantageous.

We seek a candidate with a proven track record of delivering results in their field, along with a minimum of [X years] of relevant experience.
