The Program Risk Management (PMR) team, based within the Regional Operations section of ESRO, offers strategic direction and oversight to EAR Country Offices (CO’s) regarding the execution of the Office of Strategy and Evidence’s (ONE) Program Implementation Procedure and its corresponding Handbook. This guidance encompasses key areas such as work planning, ACT assurance planning and execution, CSO collaboration, and Social and Environmental Standards (SES), including Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA).
This position will deliver administrative assistance to both the PMR team and the broader office environment. Additionally, it will involve gathering and analyzing data to support the team’s objectives, ensuring high-quality and efficient development, management, and monitoring of government and civil society partnerships at the country office level, along with associated risk management efforts. Duties will include utilizing relevant e-Platforms—such as tools, INPP, Insight, Vision, and RAM—as well as extracting and interpreting data from these systems.
Key responsibilities and essential duties include the following:
Engage in the provision of assistance for ACT assurance planning and execution as it pertains to EAR CO’s by conducting data extraction, analysis, and reporting of pertinent information to enhance planning, priority setting, and the advancement of Age-related initiatives.
The role involves assisting the PMR team in gathering and evaluating qualitative and quantitative data and information from UNICEF’s systems to enhance program and risk management, as well as to prepare reports and presentations. Additionally, the position entails contributing to Peer-Review exercises.
Review assigned assessments and program assurance reports to pinpoint critical weaknesses in the implementation of ACT, ensuring supervisors and team members can take prompt action or intervene with country offices as needed.
Assist in organizing meetings and webinars, while contributing ideas to PowerPoint presentations.
Partners in driving capacity-building initiatives focused on program management and ACT implementation by assisting in the development of training materials and engagement in practical exercises for adopting partnership systems such as INPP, tools, and exact.
Monitoring and reporting on agreed-upon key performance indicators to enhance operational efficiency, management accountability, and measurable outcomes, while providing essential oversight and analytical support for EAR Country Offices. Oversee the administration and coordination of ESRO’s Peer Review Roster.
Act as the primary liaison for supply-related matters within the Operations Section, managing all procurement, inventory, and distribution activities to ensure seamless operational functionality.
