Additionally, you will play a key role in shaping humanitarian policy, driving advocacy efforts, and advancing the LHL agenda alongside Oxfam’s global commitments.

This position entails a pivotal role characterized by strategic leadership, operational management, and external engagement, with the responsibility of upholding Oxfam’s status as a premier humanitarian organization throughout the region.

The position operates under the direct supervision of the Programs and Influencing Director for Oxfam in Africa, while also adhering to the matrix management structure led by the Deputy Humanitarian Director for the Global Humanitarian Team.

You must demonstrate analytical and decisive thinking, adeptly managing complexity while leading high-performing teams and engaging with diverse stakeholders such as governments, UN agencies, and partners. Proficiency in both English and French is required, along with the capability to perform effectively in dynamic, high-pressure settings and undertake frequent travel with minimal notice, including extended assignments.

You must demonstrate a strong commitment to feminist ideals, upholding equality as a core value while actively fostering resilience and social justice initiatives throughout Africa.

We invite you to become part of our team and contribute to our shared mission. Our organization offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment where innovation and excellence are prioritized. We seek individuals who are driven, adaptable, and committed to delivering results of the highest standard.

Become part of a dynamic Africa-focused initiative dedicated to dismantling colonial structures within humanitarian efforts while advancing feminist and locally driven leadership.
