Reconcile all revenue streams originating from Point of Sale (POS) systems and other payment methods to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Monitor and reconcile till floats and petty cash balances regularly to ensure accuracy and availability of funds.
Verify the accuracy of purchase invoices, ensuring they are properly authorized and comply with budgetary allocations.
Process invoices within the designated accounting software system, ensuring accurate and timely entry of all relevant financial data.
Process payments to a variety of suppliers following the confirmation of invoices and approvals.
Responsible for accurately filing and processing Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax (WTH), and Withholding Tax on High-Taxed Transactions (WTHT) in a timely manner.
Monitor and oversee overdue accounts receivable to ensure timely collection and resolution, proactively addressing any payment delays or discrepancies as they arise.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable aging to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely collections.
Partner with the Human Resources department to facilitate accurate and timely payroll processing by providing essential input data.
Perform regular reconciliations of bank and other accounts on a weekly and monthly basis.
Compiling monthly Profit & Loss accounts, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements forms a core responsibility of this role.
Ensure timely processing of statutory deductions, including PAYE, SHIP, NSSF, and the Housing Levy.
Ensure the timely submission of the Catering levy to comply with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate financial records.
Properly organize and maintain the filing of all accounting documents to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facilitate efficient retrieval.
Ensure the timely processing and renewal of licenses by diligently tracking their status and deadlines.
Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and performing monthly stock counts to ensure precise tracking and availability of goods.
Ensure that installment taxes are processed promptly and accurately according to established deadlines.
Ensure all necessary documentation is prepared and organized in accordance with audit requirements.
Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date asset register is essential to ensuring comprehensive tracking and management of organizational assets. This role involves systematically recording, updating, and verifying asset details, including specifications, locations, and ownership status. A meticulous approach is required to reconcile discrepancies, conduct regular audits, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. Proficiency in database management systems and attention to detail are critical, along with strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently. Collaboration with cross-functional teams may be necessary to validate asset information and resolve discrepancies promptly.
