This is far from a routine back-office accounting position. As our Treasury Accountant, you will oversee customer funds, guaranteeing unwavering adherence to the Central Bank of Kenya’s regulations on customer fund safeguarding while maintaining a flawless 100% Trust Coverage Ratio at all times. What You Will Do

Responsible for ensuring accurate management and compliance of customer funds and adherence to TCR (Third Country Resettlement) regulations, the role involves meticulous oversight of financial transactions, precise record-keeping, and strict adherence to regulatory standards to safeguard client assets and maintain operational integrity. Key responsibilities include verifying fund transfers, reconciling accounts, and implementing robust internal controls to prevent discrepancies or non-compliance. Additionally, the position requires thorough familiarity with TCR policies, proactive monitoring of regulatory updates, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and uphold compliance across all operations. Ensure the Trust Coverage Ratio between customer wallet balances and associated bank balances remains consistently at 100% at all times.

Track float and trust account balances consistently across every payment channel and banking partner to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Perform precise and prompt daily reconciliations to ensure alignment between customer wallet balances and bank account balances.

Identify, investigate, and address all reconciliation discrepancies promptly, ensuring resolution within a 24-hour timeframe.
