This position operates as an individual contributor within the FOR (Employer of Record) Operations team, serving as an essential extension of clients’ HR departments. Team members in this role expertly guide and advise on the complex landscape of global employment, delivering solutions with exceptional speed, deep expertise, and meticulous precision across more than 90 countries worldwide.

As a key contributor to this team, your efforts will play a pivotal role in shaping both the customer journey and employee experience regarding benefits. In this dynamic and intellectually stimulating role, you will cultivate your expertise as a seasoned international Benefits Specialist.

You will report directly to the Manager of Benefits Operations.

What you bring

Deliver exceptional assistance to employees and clients regarding benefits across various domains.

This position involves designing employee benefits packages that prioritize essential elements such as cost efficiency, comprehensive coverage options, and streamlined claims processing.

The process involves enrolling employees in benefits plans and, when necessary, removing them from such plans.

Benefits invoicing and billing involve the preparation, verification, and submission of invoices related to employee benefits programs. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities include processing claims, reconciling discrepancies, coordinating with providers, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. Proficiency in financial software and strong analytical skills are essential to efficiently manage billing cycles and resolve payment-related issues.

Assist in the development, documentation, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.

Collaborate efficiently with the Benefits team and other departments across the organization to assess customer requirements and develop tailored solutions and experiences.

Skilled in delivering analytical, administrative, and technical assistance to uphold benefits programs, ensuring seamless implementation of plans and policies.

Maintain operational process documentation while identifying opportunities to automate and optimize workflows for enhanced efficiency.

Constantly research and systematically distill written knowledge in Notion

Able to transition effortlessly from initial exploration to full-scale execution, ensuring projects are not only initiated but also successfully completed.

Champion both internal and external initiatives in alignment with Remote’s values and the strategic objectives of the Benefits team.

Oversee and execute a range of core duties, encompassing the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of projects, maintaining high standards of efficiency and accountability throughout each phase. Analyze performance metrics to identify trends, propose data-driven improvements, and optimize workflows to enhance productivity and operational excellence. Serve as a key liaison between departments, fostering clear communication and alignment to achieve collective objectives. Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices while delivering consistent, measurable results. Support leadership in decision-making by providing timely, insightful reports and recommendations based on thorough research and analysis.

Professional candidates should possess hands-on experience in human resources operational functions, with a particular emphasis on employee benefits administration—ideally within a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) framework.
