The Operations & Dispatch Execution role involves overseeing and coordinating daily operational activities to ensure seamless workflow and efficiency. Responsibilities include managing dispatch operations, monitoring performance metrics, and resolving real-time issues to maintain service standards. Execute power dispatch operations in strict adherence to system technical specifications, approved procedural guidelines, and official dispatch instructions.

Oversee plant operational parameters, alarms, charts, meters, and gauges to confirm stable and secure functioning.

Perform the startup, shutdown, and switching procedures for generators, turbines, and associated auxiliary equipment in strict accordance with approved operational instructions.

Modify operational controls in accordance with directives to manage power distribution and address grid demands from KPLC.

Responsible for overseeing, documenting, and maintaining accurate data records, ensuring compliance with established protocols and generating insightful reports to support decision-making processes.

Perform systematic inspections of equipment and operational parameters to identify potential malfunctions or irregularities at an early stage.

Maintain precise documentation of operational data, events, and alarms in shift logs and control reports.

Maintain accurate and insightful equipment history records, providing essential data for engineering analysis.

Ensure operational and dispatch reports are prepared and distributed promptly and accurately at all times.

Ensure full adherence to Kenyan regulatory mandates, Public Procurement Authority (PPA) directives, and established internal operating protocols.

Always ensure compliance with Work Permit, Switching, and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOT) requirements without exception.

Promptly notify the Operations Manager of any hazardous situations, unusual incidents, or deviations from established protocols to ensure timely intervention and resolution.

Comply fully with all established LTWP policies and procedures as well as HSE policies and the organization’s Golden Rules.

Requirements

A recognized bachelor’s degree in one of the following academic fields from an accredited institution is required.
