The Role

The ideal candidate must fulfill the following responsibilities:

The successful candidate will assist the Bank by overseeing the construction, project management, maintenance, and security of its capital assets, with a primary focus on construction-related matters concerning the Bank’s premises.

Oversee routine scheduled maintenance tasks while promptly addressing equipment faults, ensuring all operations meet established quality standards through thorough job inspections.

Oversee the contracting processes, cost oversight, and value optimization for all the Bank’s construction, refurbishment, and maintenance initiatives to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and budgetary constraints.

Collaborate effectively with essential internal and external stakeholders to devise cost reduction strategies and formulate their implementation plans.

Oversee projects in collaboration with the Bank’s consultants, ensuring timely completion within the shortest feasible timeframe as determined periodically.

Oversee and control expenditure for new retail locations and any additional refurbishment projects as agreed upon periodically.

Compile or assess draft bills of quantities and related tender documentation prior to distribution to contractors for the tendering process.

Collaborate with the procurement team and external consultants throughout all stages of tender processes, encompassing contractor shortlisting, invitation issuance, tender opening, and evaluation.

Prepare valuations for in-house projects, evaluate and monitor payments to contractors at various stages of construction.

Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for all ongoing and completed projects, including contracts, performance bonds, and any other required materials.

Develop detailed repair specifications, identify and engage appropriate contractors for the execution of works, and compile comprehensive maintenance tender documentation.

Seeking candidates with a proven track record in project management and a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in utilizing various software tools and advanced analytical skills are essential. The ideal applicant should demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, and possess strong organizational capabilities to effectively manage multiple tasks. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and delivering projects within tight deadlines is highly desirable. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance standards is required.

The ideal candidate must possess the following essential skills and competencies:

A Bachelor’s degree in Building Economics or a closely related field is required.

Requires at least two years of professional experience in a comparable position within a dynamic work setting.

Proven expertise in preventive and proactive maintenance, along with robust construction and project management capabilities.

Proven ability to convey ideas clearly, analyze complex information effectively, and collaborate productively with diverse teams.

Proven expertise in business management, budget administration, team leadership, and supplier relationship coordination.

Builds and maintains collaborative relationships across departments and teams within the organization.

Developing and delivering comprehensive reports and presentations with a high degree of professionalism and clarity is essential.

Demonstrates strong skills in prioritization, time management, and adherence to deadlines.
