Job Purpose:

This role demands that the WTS Technician deliver expert technical assistance while upholding stringent quality benchmarks across all Jib franchise locations. Additionally, the position entails overseeing quality audit initiatives and pinpointing opportunities for ongoing enhancement in every facet of quality control, including processes, protocols, and standards implemented at the franchises. The successful candidate must demonstrate a proactive, hands-on approach, coupled with resilience and flexibility, to effectively address the diverse and evolving technical challenges and operational needs encountered daily.

Execute a comprehensive range of duties encompassing the planning, co-ordination, and execution of projects from inception to completion. Oversee cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality benchmarks. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive operational efficiency and organizational growth. Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to stakeholders. Collaborate with senior leadership to align projects with long-term business objectives while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.

Handle technical service requests from franchises with promptness and thoroughness.

Conduct installations, perform routine maintenance, and resolve technical issues for water treatment systems, while also overseeing the facility upgrades required to accommodate these systems.

Develop and oversee operational and quality control processes, ensuring local operators are equipped with the necessary training to execute their roles effectively.

Ensure ongoing compliance with Jib’s quality benchmarks and regulatory mandates by conducting systematic franchise visits and thorough quality audits.

Assist Jibuti lab by gathering samples and conducting root cause investigations to identify underlying issues, followed by the implementation of appropriate corrective measures.

Responsible for ensuring precise and up-to-date records of quality audit programs performed across franchises.

Conduct routine evaluations and assessments of the quality status at franchises, while overseeing the execution of the Jib Quality Breach Policy.

Conduct thorough root cause analysis for any non-conformities identified and implement both preventive and corrective measures to ensure franchises consistently uphold the most stringent quality standards.

You are responsible for documenting Jib’s quality control processes, procedures, and standards with precision, as well as suggesting improvements or enhancements where applicable.

Consistently achieve monthly objectives by monitoring performance against established key performance indicators.

Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive preventive maintenance program tailored for all franchises across Kenya. Ensure strict adherence to the established maintenance schedule and verify its effective execution.

This role operates with considerable independence and maintains a direct reporting line to the Production & Quality Coordinator.

Providing support to franchisees in overseeing and guiding the operator’s team constitutes a key management responsibility.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential for data management and reporting tasks. Experience with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum, is highly desirable. Analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to assess complex situations and develop practical solutions. Attention to detail is crucial for ensuring accuracy in documentation and data entry.
