Conduct thorough assessments of all pertinent security risks, and where applicable, apply established mitigation measures. In instances where mitigation strategies must be tailored or require further consideration, present proposed solutions to your direct supervisor for approval.

Regularly enhance established procedures to optimize the achievement of defined outputs.

To establish and execute the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) process, with a primary focus on addressing critical nonconformities, including the development and implementation of identified actions aimed at eliminating recurrence and minimizing the cost of non-quality.
Collaborate with suppliers to align with business needs, evaluate their performance, and, when required, recommend enhancements to the line manager. Subsequently, execute any approved improvement initiatives.
Ensure alignment with customer demands while complying fully with DP DHL-established policies and procedures.
Engage in customer, regulatory, and internal operational audits as needed, collaborating with the team to execute the agreed-upon action plan.
Respond to customer inquiries or escalate concerns in accordance with established protocols while providing viable solutions.

Process forecasted volumes using the RPM system, ensuring alignment with the resource plan, and address escalated issues in accordance with established guidelines, thereby guaranteeing sufficient resource availability to support the planned volume.
Identify and address any training and qualification deficiencies, subsequently escalating them as necessary while designing and delivering comprehensive induction and technical training programs for the team.
Attends routine operational assessments and facilitates team updates through the deployment of Performance Dialogue boards and scheduled briefings.
Relays precise operational goals to ensure alignment and understanding among team members.
Under management’s established guidelines, you will delegate tasks, track progress, and provide the necessary assistance to ensure team success.
To establish structured avenues for employee input, develop and deploy feedback mechanisms—such as Performance Dialogue boards, daily stand-up meetings, and EOS frameworks—encouraging proactive participation in the ongoing improvement and growth of the site.
Oversee infrastructure utilization and ensure working conditions consistently meet established standards through thorough inspections.
Monitor the monthly budget allocation and expenditures within the designated area of responsibility to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
Assist in managing recruitment initiatives, conducting performance appraisals, and facilitating disciplinary or exit procedures, while offering strategic recommendations.
Perform performance evaluations and provide coaching to all direct reports, subsequently submitting performance ratings to management for review.
Develops and executes site plans within the designated operational area.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff, machinery, and operational workflows, identifying opportunities for management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Develops and maintains efficient reporting mechanisms to promptly address and rectify performance deficiencies.
Delivers comprehensive updates on operational performance and outcomes to relevant stakeholders through clear, concise reports and presentations.
To execute the Site Development Plan, identified actions for the designated area shall be carried out.
Engage actively in the Management Review Process to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
Implement the First-Choice tools while actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts as assigned, ensuring accountability for and timely delivery of tasks that impact the designated area.
Take part in an annual performance review conducted via the First-Choice assessment tool.
Enhance environmental sustainability and drive ongoing improvement initiatives to elevate the organization’s operational efficiency and eco-friendly practices.
Facilitate open dialogue and active participation among employees to drive environmental enhancements, align with First Choice standards, and support ongoing improvement initiatives.
Implement and lead Gemma Walks and Performance Dialogues, coaching Coordinators to effectively identify opportunities for improvement. Address or escalate issues and opportunities in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring timely resolution. Execute approved changes and revise standard operating procedures and training materials to reflect updated processes.
About you
Holds a degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or Purchasing and Supply Management.
With a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in logistics, the ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of optimizing supply chain operations, managing inventory, and coordinating transportation. Responsibilities include overseeing the movement of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations while adhering to industry regulations. The role demands strong organizational skills, proficiency in logistics software, and the ability to troubleshoot logistical challenges to enhance overall efficiency.
Finance and budget management responsibilities spanning a minimum of one year.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
The role requires availability to work varied shift schedules, including non-traditional or irregular days.
Capable of thriving in physically rigorous conditions while maintaining peak performance and attention to detail.
Proficient in both spoken and written English and Kiswahili.
