The Credit Analyst serves as an emerging professional within the organization, leveraging specialized expertise to oversee, evaluate, and interpret processes and data. Responsibilities:

Accurately prepares and disseminates business and personal financial statements, as well as business and individual tax returns, in a timely manner and in strict adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Citibank’s established policies.

Ensure accurate mapping of financial data for both straightforward and intricate credit applications into the bank’s established matrix and analytical framework.

Delivers insightful observations to the Underwriter regarding key financial data and may contribute to credit structure and loan pricing decisions. Additionally, serves as an industry specialist for designated sectors and collaborates effectively with Credit Officers and Relationship Managers to support application analysis.

Prepare and distribute new, renewal, and interim financial statements as well as business and individual tax returns, adhering strictly to established bank protocols—with particular emphasis on handling more intricate financial documents, such as those for Not-For-Profit entities.

Conduct concise evaluations drawing from customer insights, peer perspectives, the portfolio, and industry trends.

Perform initial evaluations of credits ranging from straightforward to intricate, encompassing assessments of cash flow, debt service coverage, collateral coverage, and guarantor net worth.

Liaise collaboratively with Credit Officers, Credit Analysts, other team members within the Credit Center, and Relationship Managers to ensure seamless communication and alignment of objectives.

Provide expert guidance to Credit Officers and Relationship Managers regarding the interpretation and oversight of loan agreements and associated covenants.

Conduct comprehensive quality assurance reviews to verify the thoroughness and accuracy of application packages and analyses before submission to underwriting.

May serve as an industry specialist, tasked with conducting in-depth SBA and EXIT loan analyses.

Appropriate risk assessment is essential in all business decisions, with a primary focus on protecting Citigroup’s reputation and assets while safeguarding clients. This involves ensuring strict compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, applying ethical judgment to personal conduct and business practices, and proactively escalating, managing, and transparently reporting any control issues that arise.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with at least three years of professional experience in a similar role.
