Job Description

To ensure the smooth daily operations of the Banquet Kitchen, you will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef, overseeing all facets of its management.

The Banquet Kitchen is responsible for innovating new culinary concepts, designing and implementing fresh menus, and establishing standardized recipes. This role involves overseeing procurement to optimize food costs while maintaining stringent standards for quality, consistency, and hygiene across both products and equipment.

Manage kitchen resources and implement controls while providing training and development for Banquet kitchen staff. This includes coaching, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations within the department.

Exhibit your distinctive flair, inventive approach, and culinary expertise by crafting exceptional dishes that elevate any Banquet event into an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

Collaborate closely with the Culinary team in the back of the house to uphold food quality standards, oversee proper food preparation, ensure timely catering service delivery, and optimize operational efficiency.

Deliver exceptional, courteous, and anticipatory guest service consistently while fostering collaborative support among team members.

Ensure strict adherence to hotel and food safety protocols throughout all stages of food handling, storage, preparation, and service. Conduct and document daily ENSURE standards, including completing temperature logs, properly labeling and dating all items, and maintaining the cleanliness of food storage areas.

Exercise sound judgment and keen insight to proactively identify and address the needs of team members, managers, colleagues, and guests. Demonstrate initiative by fostering meaningful connections with coworkers, engaging them about their guest interactions, and guaranteeing exceptional guest satisfaction.

Take charge of overseeing morning and evening operations while actively responding to feedback from external guests, the Sales department, and the Food & Beverage service team.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience in a relevant field, along with a bachelor’s degree in an applicable discipline. The ideal applicant will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and proficiency in industry-standard software tools. Additionally, prior leadership or project management experience is highly desirable. Responsibilities will include analyzing complex data, developing strategic recommendations, and overseeing cross-functional team collaboration. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

A minimum of three years of experience in a Banquet Chef role or an equivalent position is required.

The individual should hold a Professional Studies degree in Culinary Arts.

Proficient in diverse culinary techniques, ingredient selection, equipment operation, and standardized procedures, demonstrating a deep appreciation for the art and science of cooking. Passionate about crafting inventive, flavorful dishes and fostering the growth of a skilled, cohesive culinary team.
