Job Summary:
This role is responsible for ensuring Chief-Kenya adheres to all applicable Chief-Kenya, donor, and government rules and regulations. To accomplish this, the position will implement and utilize industry-leading project management systems, play a key role in developing ERP internal control frameworks, offer specialized guidance on donor requirements and compliance standards, assist in contract negotiations and reviews, and strengthen staff and organizational systems to maintain alignment with contractual and donor obligations.
We are seeking a highly motivated professional to undertake a range of critical tasks and responsibilities, including managing daily operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading projects from inception to completion, analyzing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. To maintain adherence to Donor regulations and Chief-Kenya policies, current internal control systems must be established and ensured.
Conduct systematic assessments of processes, practices, and documents to proactively uncover opportunities for enhancement.
Responsibilities include performing quarterly donor compliance spot checks and compiling a quarterly report for submission to the Board and CEO. This involves examining sample documentation from Finance, HR, Programs, Logistics, Procurement, and Grants, as well as relaying findings to appropriate staff or departments to facilitate corrective measures.
Working closely with the Board and CEO, you will deliver technical assistance or facilitate awareness sessions for all departments and staff regarding donor compliance matters.
Assist in developing Internal Controls and enhancing the finance, procurement, and reporting modules within the proposed Chief ERP system.
Significantly enhance the design of internal controls within the ERP system by developing and implementing robust frameworks that ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and optimize operational efficiency.
Provide assistance in developing internal controls and enhancing business systems and reporting elements within the Chief ERP system to drive ongoing improvements.
Play a pivotal role in conducting thorough risk evaluations and maintaining accurate, up-to-date risk registers to ensure comprehensive oversight of potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Investigations must be conducted whenever the need arises.

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a specialization in Accounting or a related discipline, complemented by certification as a Certified Public Accountant (Kenya).
Certified Information Systems Auditor or Certified Internal Auditor credentials are required, along with at least eight years of professional experience in auditing, accounting, and ERP implementation.
Demonstrated expertise in conducting audits for initiatives sponsored by USAID, CDC, and various development partners is essential.
Proficient in both written and verbal English communication, with a strong command of the language.
Exceptional organizational capabilities, strong prioritization skills, and meticulous attention to detail are essential. Additionally, the ability to collaborate effectively with professionals from operational and financial backgrounds is required.
Proficient in utilizing the full suite of Microsoft Office applications at an advanced level.
