Oversee and manage a variety of operational duties to ensure seamless and efficient workflows within the organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives and optimize performance across departments. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and drive sustainable growth. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress and identify areas for improvement. Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous development. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and resolve issues promptly.

Reconcile daily Point of Sale collections with system-generated reports and promptly investigate any discrepancies, including cashier shortages or overages, to ensure accurate till and cash management.

Process substantial volumes of vendor invoices from suppliers in sectors such as FMCG and fresh produce, ensuring prompt payment by reconciling supplier statements accurately.

Oversee periodic inventory counts and conduct thorough analyses of discrepancies to ensure precise stock records.

Oversee branch petty cash transactions and ensure meticulous, current record-keeping.

Compliance responsibilities include supporting the preparation and submission of statutory returns, specifically for KRA, NSSF, and NAIF.

Maintain a meticulously structured physical and digital filing system to ensure swift access to records during audits.

Requirements

Must possess a minimum qualification of CPA Part II certification.

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field is advantageous.

Desired candidates will possess prior experience within a supermarket, retail chain, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) setting.

Proficiency in contemporary retail accounting software, enterprise resource planning systems, and Microsoft Excel is required.

Possesses a strong sense of integrity, demonstrates exceptional precision in tasks, and thrives under the demands of daily retail deadlines.

Skills

Demonstrates proficiency in both written and verbal communication to effectively engage with suppliers and branch personnel.

High accuracy is essential for this role, particularly in tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, and identifying discrepancies in invoices.

Time Management: Ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet strict month-end deadlines in a fast-paced retail setting.

Analytical Skills: Proficient in numerical analysis with the capability to evaluate sales data and identify discrepancies in cash register shortages.

Integrity and Ethics: Demonstrates a strong commitment to trustworthiness, particularly in managing sensitive financial information and cash records with the utmost care and professionalism.
