The Role

In this role, you will collaborate with culinary professionals and kitchen leadership to oversee the meticulous preparation, packaging, and dispatch of food, ensuring adherence to stringent quality benchmarks, hygiene protocols, and food safety regulations.

Oversee and execute core duties encompassing strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance operational efficiency, accountability, and compliance. Lead and mentor teams to foster a high-performance culture, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering professional growth. Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and departmental teams, facilitating transparent communication and alignment on key initiatives. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and internal controls to mitigate risks and maintain organizational integrity.

Facilitate the seamless execution of daily kitchen activities to uphold efficient production and service standards.

Ensure all food items are prepared and packaged in strict adherence to established recipes and stringent quality standards.

Perform thorough quality inspections on completed products prior to shipment to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.

Ensure strict adherence to cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety protocols throughout the kitchen environment.

Oversee stock counts, ensure timely replenishment of ingredients, and maintain proper stock rotation according to FIFO principles.

Accurately document instances of waste and promptly escalate any operational challenges to Kitchen Leads for resolution.

Maintain precise and thorough documentation of production records while completing daily checklists with accuracy.

Collaborate with kitchen staff to guarantee timely order preparation.

Assist in sustaining a tidy, well-structured, and highly productive workspace.

Promptly identify and escalate issues to maintain uninterrupted operational flow.

Provide guidance and facilitate the training process for new team members as needed.

Requirements

A diploma or degree in Food Production, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business, Operations, or a closely related discipline is required.

Up to two years of hands-on experience in restaurant operations, hospitality services, retail environments, customer-facing roles, manufacturing processes, or food production environments is particularly beneficial.

Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and thrives in high-pressure environments.

Effective interpersonal communication and collaborative teamwork abilities are essential for this role.

Possesses exceptional organizational capabilities and demonstrates a proactive approach to accountability.

Able to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.

A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets would be considered an asset.

Nice to Have

A valid Food Handler’s Certificate or HACCP certification is required.

Experience in restaurant operations, cloud-based kitchen environments, catering services, or food production facilities is required.

Requires a solid understanding of inventory management and quality control methodologies.
