The County Solicitor serves as the primary legal advisor to the County Attorney, overseeing the operational and strategic functions of the County Attorney’s office. As a Kenyan citizen, you must meet the eligibility criteria for this role, including holding Kenyan citizenship by birth or naturalization. A recognized university degree in Bachelor of Laws (LLB) is required.

An Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a minimum of five (5) years of active practice since admission, holding a valid practicing certificate, and possessing comprehensive knowledge of pertinent legal frameworks and professional norms.

A Master’s degree in Law, complemented by a Senior Management certificate from the Kenya School of Government, would be advantageous.

Convene, delegate, and oversee all casework, encompassing appeals and petitions in coordination with the County Attorney.

The County Attorney’s office is seeking someone to assist in the preparation and issuance of legislative proposals on behalf of the County Government.
