The ideal candidate should possess extensive practical expertise in road construction, with a solid background in earthworks processes such as land clearing, excavation, embankment shaping, fill placement, compaction, grading, drainage system preparation, and formation work execution.

The Earthworks Foreman will oversee a range of essential duties, including but not limited to the following responsibilities:
We oversee on-site operations and manage earthworks activities to ensure project adherence to specifications, timelines, and safety standards, maintaining a secure and efficient work environment throughout all phases of construction.
Oversee daily operations related to earthworks at road construction sites.
Coordinate all aspects of clearing, grubbing, excavation, cut-to-fill operations, embankment construction, backfilling, material spreading, grading, leveling, and compaction activities.
Ensure all works are executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, specifications, levels, alignments, and any directives issued by the Site Agent, Project Manager, or Engineer.
Ensure adherence to specified earthworks quality standards by overseeing layer thickness, moisture levels, compaction benchmarks, and overall workmanship quality throughout the project.
Ensure all inappropriate content is accurately identified, segregated, removed, or escalated to site management for further action.
Provide support in establishing layout, maintaining level accuracy, and collaborating with surveyors to guarantee that all works align precisely with the specified lines and levels.
Oversee the development of subgrade, road formation, shoulders, side drains, culvert approaches, and associated earthwork areas to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required for this position. A minimum of five years of progressive experience in software development, with particular expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# and experience with web frameworks like Angular or React, is essential. Proficiency in database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases, is also necessary. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team are crucial. Prior experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies and familiarity with DevOps practices are highly desirable.
